Hispanic-American father of two who got into the Harry Potter universe to see what the hype was about. So far, I've stayed.

My taste in literature is varied. As some may guess from my username, I love Kafka most of all, but I also like Thomas Mann, Javier Marias, Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling.

My favourite movie is 'The Matrix,' which I appreciate for its mind-bending concepts beyond action, along with 'Gattaca' and 'Pride and Prejudice' (with Keira Knightley).

I've lived in four different countries and visited over fifteen. I speak English, Spanish and German. I've also contributed over one hundred articles to the Spanish Wikipedia (everything worthwhile is already done in English).

Greatest Thrill: Driving down the Autobahn early Sunday morning at 140 mph (225 kph) on the slow lane and being passed as if I'm standing still.

Greatest Accomplishment: I'm a three-day Jeopardy champion... or a fourth-day loser, as my ex-wife reminds me, in one of the international editions (Damn you, Pope Alexander VI *shakes fist*).
