Frustrated fiction writer trapped in a desk job

I've been writing fanfiction since the dawn of fanfic sites, lost many of them along the way but always seem drawn to strong female characters who tantalise my muse and encourage her to explore with them. Presently (& historically) that includes but isn't limited to Olivia Benson/Alex Cabot, Jo Masters/Sam Nixon (The Bill, UK old cop show), Bad Girls, Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax, Criminal Minds (a fairly new addition), Holby City, Emmerdale and, most recently, Line of Duty.
As you can probably guess, I'm from the UK, northwest England and juggle working full-time, being a single parent and writing.
