Havelocked:
n. and adj.
Pronounciation: have-locked; hævlɒkt
Etymology: From Middle English Havelock (Name) + locked (state of inaccessibility) borrowing from Sherlocked
Definition: A state of being in which an individual experiences great appreciation, admiration and/or affection for someone bearing the name of Havelock.
This may refer to Havelock the Dane, Sir Henry Havelock, Havelock Ellis or Lord Havelock Vetinari, to name some key examples: the context and awareness of the individuals inclinations should inform as to whom the term refers.
Derived from the term “Sherlocked” featured on the BBC TV series “Sherlock”, that has become a byword for fanatics of the show. Had Irene Adler been a reader of Middle English romances, interested in the battles of the British Empire in India in the early 19th century, a researcher into human sexuality or an avid follower of a character in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld books, her phone may have remained locked, foiling the efforts of the Holmes brothers and in so doing she may have retained a position of power the character seems to have lost in this modern adaption.

Bit about me: Besides reading fanfic, I'm starting to explore editing/betaing (which I find very fun - and as a Brit can include Brit-picking) and have a number of yet-to-be-published works ticking away in the background.
