The woman behind the film screen.
Bio
Hello there, fellow readers and writers!
My name is Idealai (here on both Tumblr and on Ao3). However, you could also call me Niamh (my actual name) or simply, Nee. Right now, I'm simply a university student studying Literary and Cultural Studies whilst minoring in Human Rights. After I leave university, I'm aspiring to be a screenwriter for television and possibly film. All while also being an editorial journalist, one day writing for the Atlantic or the New York Times. As you can imagine, I'm a little bit ambitious but I like to think I'm nice! :D
Right now, outside of my university studies, I'm focused on three projects:
1. it's always ourselves we find in the sea; my own radical reinterpretation if Disney decided to do a live-action retelling of several Disney stories. The focus, however, is about the radical retelling of the Little Mermaid with Ariel's journey in discovering humanity, the past and a way to bring both the land and the sea together.
2. SONDER; a TV series I've being developing for two years so far. A Person of Interest spinoff/reboot that focuses on one question: how did the Machine gain it's humanity? Which leads it to become a sci-fi drama focusing on the ten women neurologically and mentally connected to the Machine and their lives intertwined with the evolution of the Machine. Think a mixture of Person of Interest, Orphan Black, Sense8 and a little bit of Parenthood.
3. Noor-un-Nisa; a screenplay for 2018's Academy Nicholl Fellowships. A screenplay for a feature-length film concerning Noor Inayat Khan - a real-life Indian-American princess to became one of the most celebrated SOE agents during Nazi Germany occupied France.Naturally, here on Archive of Our Own, I'm sure there's more stuff (like one-shots or rambles) that I'll be posting here (mostly focused on IAOWFS). If you have any questions, feel free to come to me! <3
