Hey! I'm Jake!

I am so grateful for all of the responses to my fanfics, however, I have been inactive for a while precisely because of the fandoms those works revolved around. So, as a PSA: I'm a gay guy who grew up in a very toxic environment until I was fostered and eventually adopted by a kind gay couple later in life. As a kid I used Harry Potter as a form of escapism, so I am truly horrified by everything that has happened.

I DO NOT support JK Rowling, or her ongoing discrimination against the trans community. Trans people are beautiful and should always be safe, and accepted. I hate that a beloved children's author was given a powerful voice and decided to basically squander it, and become the villain of her franchise.

Though I do not myself wish to carry on creating WW/HP fanfiction, and have stopped engaging with the books and films etc because of my own feelings, I will not be removing what I wrote years ago as a teenager- I did my best then as a struggling queer and neurodiverse person to put that into those works for others who are looking for that or need that in their lives. I want that to remain, as a reminder, that we were a powerful and diverse community of fans once upon a time, who wanted to spread love, appreciation, and equality in escapism, despite the original author's ill-intentions.

My future work, if I share it, will instead focus on other creations I love- like Stardew Valley, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Gilmore Girls, 007, and the MCU, and so on. I may also return to my Poriot/Murder Mystery crossover creations one day.

P.S. As I am now an adult, a small portion of my newer stories may be NSFW, but if ever that becomes the case- there will always be the relevant tags/warnings!
