I'm a fan of self-insert stories, honestly. I have been for quite a long while.
I find it's quite fun to write oneself into scenes and situations from media such as movies and television.
How would YOU handle a certain situation? How would YOU interact with the characters of a certain world?
There's nothing pretentious or arrogant about it, it's simply about having fun.
That goes for the Stu-types. That goes for the neutral-types. That goes for in-between.
If anything, it is simply an expression of your love for the world or worlds of your favorite media.
You are allowing yourself to exist within that world in some form.
And it's fun! (Also like stories of random happenings)

The character of Key featured in my stories is not necessarily Key the author, but a version of Key the author. In other words, he pretty much IS Key the author.
