  Summary

  On my twitter, @Bello7atwinkie, I posted a prompt that Aiden is a ballet student and Duncan is a janitor at the academy, and that they fall in love. A friend of mine(@oxfordtwink on twitter) was inspired, and I was already working on the prompt myself, so we wrote our ficlets and are posting them here! The two stories are a little different, and theres a twist in @oxfordtwink(twitter)/@travellingcircus(Ao3)'s fic so they're both different!

  Summary

  Before everything happened Earth was managing fine more or less. Most countries had central governments, modern medicine was readily available; and in many places, alphas, betas, and omegas lived as equals. Now the planet has been thrown into a state of anarchic chaos, due to a large number of natural disasters caused by climate change, subsequent wars over precious resources that were depleting, and under-population due to what could’ve been only described as World War III. Most of the female population was wiped out long ago due to increases in a type of ovarian cancer that female alphas and male omegas were somehow largely unaffected by. So nowadays the only ones with wombs are female alphas who're near-sterile and male omegas. Beta and omega women still exist but they are few in numbers and are considered a rare treasure. Since most countries' governments have long since been decentralized by the chaos of the apocalypse, there are only a few communities varying from large to small where the laws may differ greatly. Outside of those towns, there is no law, and many know that the beliefs that used to be common in human society aren’t helpful in long-term survival...
