I’m dyed-in-the-wool fangirl who has only recently left writing my own projects to write some fanfiction. Most of the stuff I read tend to be quite whumpy but it turns out my writing style has two speeds:
· Dark, intense drama
· Light hearted and fun

I like stories that capture the characters well and particularly enjoy reading about moments we wouldn’t see on camera. Think Firefly – one of the things that gave the show its flavour was seeing the crew eating dinner and chatting. I love getting snippets about everyday lives that have been cleverly mixed into the overall story.
I dislike drabbles. If it’s less than 500 words to me it’s a concept. Go flesh it out. Work out how your characters got into that situation and the fall out from getting out of it. Then publish.
I’m currently writing for Thunderbirds but my other favourite worlds are Star Trek, Merlin, Good Omens, Dr Who, Firefly & Supernatural to name but a few.
(Also I'm British, which explains why a lot of people think I can't spell! :-) )
I love seeing others perspective on my work. If you're inspired to create something from something I've written it then go for it, but, be polite and drop me a line first. I'm not gonna say no. I'm just really curious!
I particularly love seeing fanart. I never progressed past stick figures, but some of the things I've seen created are breathtaking.
