I've always loved reading and started writing pretty much as soon as I could hold a pen (this was long before the days of word processors). In my teens I devoured science fiction and fantasy and discovered the works of Anne McCaffrey in the local library. Recently, having found out that a friend also enjoys the world of Pern, I started re reading the series so we could chat about them and having got through all the books, wanted more. Hence I found this site and began reading fan fiction too. Then, due to the lockdown situation and having lots more time to be creative, I started writing it as well.
I don’t like reading partially completed stories that have obviously been abandoned and I’m assuming it's the same for most readers. For this reason, I’m holding off posting anything I’m writing until I'm fairly confident it's close to being finished, either as a stand-alone story or part of a series.
I write because I enjoy it, but it’s always great to get feedback - even just a few words - to know that someone out there is reading and enjoying it too. Or not, as the case may be.
