So, in the 40 odd years I’ve been 'conscious' consumer of media, I had never become as the invested in anything as I became with GotG. Then, come January this year it only went and happened again, and this time it's far far stronger. You see, there's an utterly brilliant Guardians fic over on FF written by Bunnyrock — It's wonderfully long and complex and packed with humour and brilliant writing. Problem was... no updates. Instead the author was writing some other story based on some Disney talking animals cartoon I’d never heard of called Zootopia. So I simply ignored the story. Not interested. Nope. Not at all. But... I had some time over Christmas and got curious so I decided to give the story a go — Hadn't seen the film, didn't want to. I don't like Disney cartoons made for children.
Nope. Definitely not.
But... oh my, this fan fiction was brilliant, I had to give the film a go, so bought the Blu-ray. I've never been so glad to be wrong. The whole film is a masterpiece of world-building and characterisation and, WOW! So many many wonderful wonderful Zootopia fan-fics on here. Thank you all for making the last few months a joyous continuous binge of fiction goodness!
