I have been writing since I was in second grade. It's always been one of my passions. My first story that I ever wrote was four pages long, and the first of a trilogy. It was a total rip off of Cinderella. I only changed their names and had killed her father by having their house burn down with him trapped inside. So maybe that one doesn't count. My first original story was the second book of that trilogy. I wrote their honeymoon, which was nothing like I now know a honeymoon to be, but I was eight when I wrote it. The third book of that trilogy was a rip off of the movie Ella Enchanted. I started to rip off Lady and the Tramp, but I stopped one page in, abandoning it for my pursuit of princess stories.
I like to think that I've progressed rather well from my early writing endeavors. All of my stories have some romantic element about them, but my characters have more depth and drama about them. I'm not afraid to write an unhappy ending. In eight grade I wrote a full 98 page story (my longest story up to that point) and I killed the main character on the second to last page. ( I also left that story with a cliffhanger so I was an unusually cruel author.) Since I began watching Bones on TV, crime solving stories have also started to fascinate me. I like to come up with the most gruesome killers and, sadly, sometimes the killers are my favorite characters.
