Summary
The Blue Lantern sits quietly in a city that doesn’t sleep.
From the street, it looks like any other place: a narrow door, a wash of blue light spilling out across wet pavement, music and smoke slipping through the cracks and dissolving into the noise beyond. But inside, the rules bend, conversations lower, movements soften, and for a few hours at a time the city forgets itself, and the people who move through it forget what they are to each other outside these walls.
These stories move between those spaces, following the people who pass through the Lantern and the lives they return to when the music fades. A dancer who leaves the floor at the wrong moment. A pianist who plays as if the room is listening back. A man at table nine who never raises his voice and never needs to. Two men who have built their lives on precision and control, finding that something between them has begun to shift in ways neither of them can quite account for. A bartender who sees everything. A young, brash drummer who just wants to be taken seriously.
Each story can stand on its own, though they are all interconnected in many ways.
