Namarea
Bio
I am a sweet southern belle, born and raised in the cradle of the Confederacy (Alabama). Does that make me a redneck? Meh, maybe...i'm not really that big into labels. But there is just something to be said for a good ol', strong, self-reliant, country boy that can fill out a tight pair of blue jeans just right and...but I digress.
Namarea was taken as my online nick many years ago after seeing The Lord of the Rings for the first time. "Namarea" or "Namarie" in Sindarin actually means "goodbye" or "farewell". It seemed to me at that time in my life that I was always saying goodbye to people so it seemed fitting somehow. Namarea became a handle that I used in gaming as main character names in both LotRO, DAoC and WoW, as well as a few online rpg's I played.
I have been writing poetry and short stories for as long as I can remember and I play the piano, the organ and the ocarina in my spare time. I was published all throughout high school and college in local newspapers and literary magazines and developed a deep and abiding love for reading and writing that I carry to this day. I think if I was stuck alone on a deserted island, though I'd miss Auburn football like mad (WAR EAGLE!!!), as long as I had my unabridged Shakespeare volume, my dog-eared Tolkien bible, a few premium cigars (Torano, CAO, Ghurka to name a few) and some beer, I'd be one happy girl ;-). It takes so little to amuse me...lol.
I'm pretty much an open book, so feel free to ask if you have any questions regarding me or my work here. I always appreciate questions, comments and constructive criticisms.
If you have an idea for a story or a ship, let me know and I'll do my best to make it happen.
Best Regards,
Nam ;-)
P.S. My icon is from my hubs who declares that I'm well on my way to Special Hell for all the 'dwarf-porn' I read and write.
