You have zero doubt in your mind that he's not lying. After all, you've seen plenty of times how violent he can be.
"Entertain you how?" You ground the words out, already your stomach is in knots.
"I'm glad you asked." You watch as that same unhinged smile from the first night forms on his face again.

After a long day of working through documents, stretching well into midnight; Enigma finds himself so exhausted from his work that he ends up passing out straight into his ex(-leader)'s arms.

Summary
The Captain certainly knows that the bat is a sly one. He has many tricks up his sleeves, waiting its time to come to an use. He knows how to drive the man over the edge and acts clueless about it.
It isn't his personality to 'compete' with someone but the temptation of driving Ororon mad is there. He has an inkling of an idea how to work that out.
It somewhat works.
