Bio

In my RL I teach in a rural high-poverty high school. My students are terrific--and they keep me humble. If we learn best by making mistakes, then I will always be the busiest learner in my classroom.

I grew up watching Star Trek...the original series with Kirk and Spock (I'm that old!) The new movie is an exciting addition to the franchise, and I've really enjoyed writing fanfiction inspired by it. I've also had fun writing for the only TV show I watch regularly, "Elementary." When I was a kid watching the original Star Trek, I was also busy reading ACD's Sherlock Holmes stories, and I've never met an iteration of the great detective that I didn't like.
