With the music and bustle of the room, they’d obviously forgotten that they could be seen and heard, although it seemed that Bad was the only one surreptitiously paying attention.
“Patches needs a sibling,” George stated, “and little brothers are awesome. I had names all picked out and you’ve like, ejected all of them.”
“Rejected, idiot,” Dream said fondly, “and I liked Stitches! Patches and Stitches sounds cute together.”
“Stitches is more of a third child name though,” George said, as though he shouldn’t need to explain this to Dream.
If Bad didn’t think he’d be at risk of some convoluted revenge plot if he were caught, he’d be filming this conversation for sober George, or anyone else that needed proof that George was getting broody for goodness sake over his and Dream’s future cat children (plural).
In which Dream and George go to an unnamed future convention and do a terrible job keeping their relationship a secret, from the perspective of those who put up with it most.

“I’ll ask again, how did you find me?” Something shifted in the dark, and a figure stepped out into the light from Tommy’s left.
The man wore a simple green tunic, holding a pan high like a weapon, and glaring with his green eyes at Tommy hard enough it almost knocked him onto the floor. The most surprising thing, however, was the blond hair that cascaded down his back and down towards the floor, so long it disappeared into the darkness.
It was also, strangely, very similar to the hair around Tommy’s limbs.
“What the fuck,” Tommy whispered.
“How, did you find me?” The man asked again. Tommy gulped.
“Well, does anyone truly know how we get anywhere?” He asked back. “Why are we all here? Are we even truly alive?” That rendered the man silent for a moment, clearly stunned by Tommy’s intellect.In Tommy's humble opinion, the best fairytales are the ones where he is both the main character and surrounded by adoring subjects. Unfortunately, this is not the ideal fairytale, and he had to do everything himself, including taking this insane guy called Dream to go see the lanterns that honor his dead brother. Wonderful. Nothing could possibly go wong here.

“I think you were trying to say something.” George spoke up, leaning against the dresser across from his bed, taking in every second that Dream marveled at the sight before him. George didn’t think this was all that special, but based on the way Dream only met his gaze for a second before instantly grabbing a pillow to place in his lap, George felt accomplished in his mission.
“Skeppy and Bad kissing on stream tomorrow. If they don’t, you get ten grand. But if they do…” Dream trailed off, beginning to blink quickly, stealing glances at George’s bare legs and the way his underwear barely peeked out below his shirt.
“If they do kiss, I’ll let you fuck me.” George finished Dream’s thought, fighting back a smile at the way Dream seemed to fall apart just hearing George say the words.
