RiptideZ, often shortened to Tide and alternatively known as Distant Tide, has been a Fanfiction writer since 2010, ever since he started attempting to improve his writing skills as a child. Writing fanfiction eventually blossomed into a well-practiced hobby as Tide found his way into a number of online writing communities over the years. Outside of Fanfiction.net, Tide is a site moderator for the Halo Fanfiction Wiki, Halo Fanon, and former chat moderator for the writer's forum, The Artist's Zone. Tide's favored writing style is in the science fiction genre with a preference for military, cyberpunk, western, and fantasy-adventure themes. Due to his hobbyist tendency, his update schedule is erratic to say the least.
