Ayo, my name's Mary Roe Russel (though I use M.R. Russel for my writing). I'm a writer, and I'm a voice actress.
I am a lesbian. I was born and raised in midwestern America, but I currently live in Colorado. I am a horror junkie, and I especially love the Final Girl trope. I love rock music, especially the electric alternative kind, especially if it's fronted by women. My favorite band is Garbage, and I also adore Metric, The Sounds, and Phantogram. I love yuri stories, and I hope to some day find a horror-yuri hybrid that, hopefully, doesn't involve loli/shota content. Gross.
Tangle the Lemur is probably my favorite character ever, having probably surpassed Claire Redfield and Koishi Komeiji. My favorite game series are Resident Evil, Sonic the Hedgehog (and by extension, a lot of Sonic.exe stuff), Tomb Raider, Fallout, Silent Hill, and Mass Effect. My favorite games in those series are either version of Resident Evil 2, Sonic Origins (if that counts lol, if it doesn't, then Frontiers), Tomb Raider III or Rise of the Tomb Raider (they are tied), Fallout: New Vegas, Silent Hill 3, and Mass Effect 2. In spite of my love for Touhou characters, my inability to actually play the games prevents it from being a favorite series of mine. My favorite anime and manga is the horror series Shiki, which I believe is the best horror manga and anime ever made. I hope to someday be able to read the novel.
