Harry Potter and the Rotfang Conspiracy - Progress Update(s)
I used to provide progress updates on my Ko-fi account but only eight people followed them so I won't be doing that any more. Rather than check the story regularly to see if it has been updated, subscribe to the story and you will receive an email when it's updated.
Why does it take me so much longer to publish a chapter now?
It takes me about 50 "writing hours" to complete a chapter (planning, research, drafting, revising, etc). When I first started writing this story I'd just quit a job I hated, so my plan was to have a six-month break and live off my savings. I had lots of free time and could easily rack up 50 hours of writing in 3-5 days. Unfortunately that didn't last. A family member fell ill and needed constant healthcare. As a result I quickly burned through my savings and had to get a job.
