Building my creative writing career one fan fic at a time. You can also find me as Librasmile on Fan Fiction.net, LiveJournal, Dreamwidth and InsaneJournal and as Librasmile2 on tumblr. I've written fan fic for Harry Potter, Sherlock and Cabin Pressure most of which you can find on AO3. I've also written Superman Returns fan fic which you can find on FFnet. My goal is to transfer all of my fan fic to AO3 because of their dedication to defending the authors of transformative works. Go AO3!!In addition to fan fic ideas, I have a lot of meta notes and articles on my different fan genres. I've worked out alternative genealogies for Severus Snape and Sherlock Holmes, as well as created fictional geographical areas. This is due to my need to "ground" my fics in a sense of time and space that I can believe in.
As you can see, I'm an inveterate world builder! My left brain tends to hold my right brain hostage until I work out the mechanics of what my right brain wants to run off and do. Hence, I have to write "Potions Master's Payday" before I can then turn around and write "Confessions of a Cornwall Grad." So if you wonder why I take freakin' FOREVER to finish a fic, that's why.
