Hi, I'm Squid! My preferred pronouns are they/them, but I’m not too upset if people use other pronouns for me.
I hate that I feel the need to say this, but given the rise of AI infiltrating fandom spaces I am going to make my stance clear. I know there is little I can do to stop this but I am hoping common decency may dissuade some. So: please do not input my works into AI generators to complete the story, please do not use my works to train AI, and please do not use my work for AI in any other way I have failed to think of.
That being said, I welcome genuine creativity related to my works! Anyone is always welcome to create art around my fics, write your own fics inspired by them, create podfics, post translations of my work, or any other manner of art. In fact, if anyone did I’d love you to point me towards it so I can have a look!! 💕
I've taken to archive locking my newer works. If you’re a guest who likes my works and wants to see more I cannot suggest getting an AO3 account enough. Sorry to guest users but comment bots and ai scraping is wearing me down so I am taking precautions with my newer works to limit that.
I've also locked all my Harry Potter works. I am so exhausted with that whole mess, and am limiting the ability for people to be able to just happen across them. I do not intend to delete them because I do still have a special place in my heart for them, but it's a particularly complicated topic for me. While I retain my blanket permission at current for those fics, I'd prefer if any potential translations/podfics/whatever of my Harry Potter fics also be archive locked to reflect that, please.
