I would consider myself a fandom old, but I am not old (37 isn't old, okay?). I have, however, been in fandom since I was about 12 years old (oh wow, 25 years already? this summer? damn). I started on fanfiction.net under the username ArmAndLeg (and that account still exists!). Maybe one day I'll drag all of our old stuff over here (I doubt it), and even if I don't, this is where the stuff I write gets posted nowadays.
I do have Dissociative Identity Disorder; there are a handful of us who write. We mostly present as a singular unit because a whole life of masking the disorder will do that to you. But we are also open about the fact that we are a System, and we are also a parent. So sometimes the adulting comes first (booooo) because sometimes we have to pretend we're a responsible adult. Sometimes.
