Anne Carson apparently said, "If prose is a house, poetry is a man on fire running quite fast through it." I saw that on Tumblr and thought,
"Huh."
Some prose is a house on fire. Some is a house running quite fast.
Some is both.
So I build houses, and sometimes set them on fire, and then wait to see if any of them start running.
