About Me

Hi, I'm Mercury.

I'm a Californian who writes almost exclusively for British fandoms because that's apparently just how I roll. I've been writing fanfiction since I was 11, though I didn't know what fanfic was until I was 17. (In 2000. I've been online a long time.)

Fandom taught me that writing is both something you do and something you are. I'm proud of my work. If I ever publish original works, I'll never take down my fic. Not. Ever.

Blanket Permission Statement

Please do: remix, podfic, translate, create art for or create secondary fanwork of any fanwork I have posted (except my own remixes or fanwork of others' work - contact the original author for their own policies). Please always include a link back to my work, and please do share your work with me, if you want - on the rare chance it happens, it would be awesome to see.

You also may save and share my fanwork on a personal basis, provided that:
-You make no financial profit from the distribution
-You make no claim that the work, or a part of the work, is your own
-The work is correctly attributed and a link is provided where possible
-The work in question is not expressly prohibited from this permission (rare)

Please do not: add my fanwork to an archive, fanzine, or other published distribution without first contacting me. I usually give permission, but I would like to check out the publication first and get a feel for whether our vibes are compatible. Exceptions: rec lists or communities devoted wholly or primarily to recommendations. Link away all you like there, and feel free to post excerpts.
