I don't allow my stories to be added to unthemed, nondescript personal "bookshelf" collections (stuff like "Trek Stories"). That's due to some residual paranoia about losing some amount of control (like collections getting hidden or set to anonymous) even though AO3 has fixed this issue by now.
I will usually allow my stories to be added to themed collections, though (like "Spock's Daddy Issues".
If you just make collections for your own organisatorial purposes: please collect bookmarks instead of stories!User-locked RPF
