Classic, delicate, and surprisingly hardy, forget-me-nots are among the most well-loved weeds all around. Despite many romantic tales of this beautiful blossom, the scientific name, Myosotis, is,, in fact, very UNromantic, meaning "mouse ears" because of the shape of the petals.

Touch-me-not refers to two flowers. One, more famous, is the Mimosa pudica, also known as the shameplant. It has small leaflets that close up when touched. It also refers to a family of flowers, known as the balsam family or the touch-me-not family. The wispy flowers range in many colors, from white spotted to orange and delicate pink. However, the name comes from the fact that when the pod is touched, it explodes, launching seeds everyhere.
