Summary
Agatha had thought she was doing rather well at this whole "modern world" business until now.
“Let me guess,” The albino girl behind the counter says dryly, shooting an unimpressed look at the money Agatha is holding out to her. “Recently surfaced immortal?”
Agatha hesitates. Sophie has told her this shop is the hub for all non-humans in the area, but to be identified so quickly--
“Er. Yes. I suppose. Is this not a sufficient amount of money?”
“Shillings aren’t legal tender anymore.”
--
by an immortal, ageless vampire's standards, eighty years is not a long time. But it seems to Agatha that 2019 is rather different from 1939. woken by the millennium celebrations in 2000, she's skulked in her house for 19 years, trying to pluck up the courage to come down and explore the modern world.
now she's really wishing she hadn't.
especially when she stumbles across her oldest... ah, *friend*, trapped in an aquarium.Series

“It’s not that surprising. You look exactly like your father did at your age.” she muttered-- then realised her mistake.
Tedros bolted up.
“You knew my father?”
(Yes.)
“No.”

Summary
"You do have parents, don't you?" Asked Tedros, cramming another piece of fudge into his mouth. "Like... real ones?
Agatha snatched the rest of it out of his hand.
"Yes."
"You said you were raised by a coven of witches. That's not real parents."
---
sge lacked scenes with tagatha just being friends before all the ~romance~, so I wrote one myself after realising we never got to see the visiting weekend in their year, presumably bc none of the three main character's parents could come. in-canon universe.

A Plan For Sophie's Three Months Of Father-Ordained Hell In Netherwood:
a) upstage everyone in a grand entrance (roses?? pearls?? maybe bring doves)
b) avoid the queen (still can't remember her name) for said three months, allow her to admire from afar (and afar ONLY)
c) find REAL friend, courtier of unknown rank named aggie (short for something???)
d) scope out elegible courtiers (doubt there'll be any...)
e) go home, having learned nothing (that will teach the old fools) -

“He knows Robin Hood is long dead, doesn’t he?” yawns Anadil. “Does he think his ghost is going to try and liquidate his assets?”

every good story has a moral.
this is not a good story, but it has one anyway; don't be rude about tedros pendragon in the press if you like having dignity, poise, and a party without the ghost of robin hood crashing it and trying to unionise your security guards

"-Ani, we used to be the most popular couple in our friend group, remember?”
“Yeah. No one left us alone. It was dreadful.”
“We had esteem! I refuse to be taken over by a half-assed het couple, half of which includes an insipid ex-model who drinks protein shakes and went to private school!”
Dot blinks. “Isn’t Agatha your friend-?”
Hester sits straight up and grabs Anadil’s hand.
“Anadil, bollocks to #tagatha, we’re getting married.”

Summary
Although his lips are pursed and his eyes are narrowed and he wears an expression like a disapproving high-class grandmother from the eighteen hundreds, he’s still hot?
What the hell.
So Agatha leans back on the stupid creaky plastic chair and smiles a stupid fake smile and asks this stupid guy with his stupid blonde curls that he probably dyes why he's being a dick.
Okay, she didn’t actually say that.
(tedros and agatha are feuding soccer moms whose kids are, unfortunately, friends.)
