Bio

I'm a non-stereotypical Texan, involved in fandom since the mid 1970's. In the '80s and '90s I wrote poetry and stories for fanzines, made VCR to VCR vids, and attended many fancons.

My first fandoms were Star Trek:TOS and Man From U.N.C.L.E, then Blake’s 7, Professionals, dueSouth, Sentinel, Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural, Leverage, Sherlock (BBC), MCU, Teen Wolf, etc. Truly a fannish butterfly!

I was mostly not active in fandom, except as an avid reader and online lurker, from 1998-2007 for family reasons, and again from 2013-present for health reasons.

I was, however, intensively involved in the podficcing community between 2007-2013, compiling over 1,800 audiobooks and creating cover art for many of those. I even managed to record two little ones of my own! I was also tagging mod for the amplificathon podfic comms on DW/LJ until 2013 and, as an Audiofic Archive volunteer, was responsible for archiving SPN/SPN RPF podfics and helping with many others as well. With the Archive's later re-imagining and then subsequent years-long downtime, my multitude of posts and the detailed info they included were all lost. I am still sad about that but happy to see the Archive is finally being revived thanks to the wonderful mific.

I have long created digital fanart in Photoshop, first for audiobook covers then for fic banners, BigBangs, ReverseBangs, etc. In 2013 I participated as an artist in the SPN/J2 Big Bang, the SPN, Leverage, Teen Wolf, and SGA ReverseBangs, and the Podfic BigBang. My fannish activities dropped off drastically after that due to health issues as mentioned above, but I hope to become more active again in future.

I am cybel here and on Dreamwidth, cybelh on twitter (which I very rarely use), and cybelharper on Tumblr. My old LJ still exists in limbo as they never deleted it despite my best efforts, but is no longer active.
