Bio
My introduction to fan fiction was through the Harry Potter world back in 2005. While waiting for the last books to be released I needed something to tie me over until the next canon fix. I didn't realise what I was getting myself into! The world of fandom opened up before me and I haven't looked back. I wrote a couple of short stories which are now safely contained in a computer back up somewhere, hopefully never to see the light of day again. (I'm hoping that the unintentionally thinly veiled Mary-Sue has suffocated in there and not grown stronger through a diet of old Word files and saved pictures of Johnny Depp and LOLCats. These images were the style at the time, I swear).
October 2008 saw me tumbling into Gotham through a little movie called 'The Dark Knight', you may have heard of it, small indie thing that it was. Shortly after seeing it for the first time I viewed it twice more at IMAX and it was safe to say I was hooked. The Dark Knight Rises will be released soon and I hope to find from this the spark to finish off my two WIPs (I will upload these to Ao3 soon).
In the meantime I've carefully cultivated a strong Sherlock (BBC) obsession. This piece of genius is an awe inspiring series of shows and makes me want to aim towards a greater level of love for a project in both my personal and work lives. I'm not suggesting that anything I create is up there like that but it's always good to have something that drives you to achieve more. I mean the dialogue, acting, cinematography, score and attention to detail to both the show itself and its adherence to the source material is amazing and something that isn't seen too often.
Feedback on the fics is always very welcome as it helps me to write better stories.
