So, I guess this is the part where I tell you, kind reader, a bit about myself. Hmm, where to begin...
I am a sixty-something year old married mother of two grown children. I spent an insane amount of time in school, and have a medical degree to show for it, which definitely did not prepare me to dive into writing.
My usual genre is first person observation humor. I had lots of material when my children were young, but they’re adults now, and no longer provide me with g-rated writing fodder.
My daughter introduced me to Harry Potter during her freshman year in college. I read and reread the series until I could quote character dialog in my sleep. Ditto with the movies.
I stumbled upon Harry Potter fan fiction after practically memorizing the Harry Potter Wiki. I was looking for original content, and man, did I find it!
I began writing fan fiction (humor or ”crack” fan fiction) as a way to jump start my writing. I hope that my offerings will put a smile on the faces of those who read them.
Oh, and the lovely little wire haired dachshund once pictured is my dearly departed Trixie, the inspiration for my first three fan fics. She loved the camera!
Trixie’s successor, Isabella, is purified plutonium in a dachshund suit. When she is not wreaking havoc, she is a very loving, outgoing little dog. In order for me to recover from the loss of Trixie, I have retired her icon and replacing it with Bella’s.
