I love really simple stuff and really complex stuff. Often they are the same thing.
I like stories about people being messy and confused and trying very hard. This is usually wrapped up in dumb jokes and suspiciously poetic prose. I'm weak for tropes, but I'll always try to spin them. Cute but angsty romance, AUs, and drama are my haunting ground.
