I started writing fanfic with I got traumatized by the end of S3 of New Who and couldn't find the story I wanted to read--so I went ahead and wrote it. It was a slippery slope from there, and I've been dipping in and out of fic writing ever since, as inspiration strikes (or season endings leave me traumatized and demand fixes).
