When I was but a little lad, I was diagnosed with a chronic inability to take myself seriously. Every project, every piece of writing I ever started, no matter how promising it may appear, escalates into a mess of unfunny jokes and nonsensical lore.
What to do, I pondered, I love writing!! But before I can form a coherent thought, I open a new google doc and proceed to stare at it for several minutes, write the odd sentence if the weather is nice, and then spend the next several hours doomscrolling twitter. By then, it's already too late to finish my fic. Oh well, I sigh, I'll just write tomorrow.
