I think a writer's favorite authors tell you a lot about their writing style, or at least what they hope for their writing style to be. Authors I find inspirational in terms of style include Brandon Sanderson (!!), Kristin Cashore, Suzanne Collins, and Rick Riordan. I'm attracted to a fantastic world and characters that could walk off the page. And I want desperately to write something that inspires in others the same beautiful mess of emotions my favorite stories inspire in me.
