    My brain is a friendly brain, with gleefully unworkable fic ideas, a prehensile brainstem, and a smile.

    I have a ton of scribbled braintics, written to varying degrees of incompleteness, which for one reason or another (vastly unconquerable scope, logical/logistical/self-indulgent problems in the premise, etc.) will never turn into complete fics. They exist as patchy bits and bobs (an artefact of my nonlinear writing process) which I compare to ancient, fractured stone tablets from which you have to reconstruct the story. Like the Epic of Gilgamesh. Or something.
