I've been a reader (and sometimes writer) of fanfic ever since I first discovered the concept back in college lo these many years ago. I'm fickle in my fannish affections, flitting from fandom to fandom as the mood takes me. I'm currently into reading Sherlock, Avengers, and Harry Potter. Fandoms I don't read currently (at least, not much) but used to read and may one day read again include SGA, Merlin, Doctor Who, Miracles, Torchwood, Quantum Leap, Harry Potter, Due South, Firefly, Buffy, Dead Zone, House, Stargate SG-1, and various incarnations of Star Trek.
I love AUs and crossovers, and I adore slash. I'm also rather fond of snappy banter. I do not enjoy ungrammatical writing, bad characterizations, stories where everybody is evil and nasty with no redeeming characteristics, and dark angst-fests where everything is gloom and doom with no end in sight. A little angst is okay, but in moderation, please!
