Bio
Hi! I'm smallpaperstars and I love writing. I enjoy finding that perfect orthographic fit, like slipping on a wedding ring or well-worn shoe. I like hunting words down with a stun-gun and mounting them on a page. I relish having it out with words - wrestling with them, pinning them to the ground, feeling them punch through my skin.
But more than that, I love reading.
I've found so much joy in reading what people post online. There is so much talent available beyond the pages of books (and much within them, of course). It's so satisfying to find a fic that really understands me - the issues I had with canon, the fulfillment I'm looking for in stories. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the popularization of fanfiction is one of the greatest developments in the literary world in our day.
(Of course, I've read a few choice fanfictions that tempt me to retract that statement. Looking at you, SuperWhoLock.)
Anyways, I could go on for ages about my love of reading, but if you're here in the first place, I assume that's something we share. So instead, here are some things you probably don't already know!
1. I'm married and I love it. Half the cooking, twice the food, plus he's pretty cute.
2. One summer, I fell down a manhole. It wasn't deep, but falling down any depth of manhole is enough to make you re-evaluate the world.
3a. I definitely go through micro-obsessions. Right now, it's the fact that the voice actor of Remy from Ratatouille is married to the lady that helped catch the Golden State Killer. Like, what?
3b. Past micro-obsessions have included the Romanov dynasty, watercolor, Anne Hathaway's filmography, and How to Train Your Dragon.
4. Micro-obsessions that have stood the test of time include Harry Potter, Maximum Ride (but not James Patterson), Star Wars, and Anastasia.Anyways, welcome to my page and enjoy your stay!
