honestly, ao3 is a way of undoubted escapism for me. like, the world can be so unreasonably insane and frustrating sometimes; yet reading someone else’s work and having a reason to stay up at night to read my favorite characters getting together in an alternate universe is everything to me and lets me take a step back from from letting go of my leash on the world.
