I've always been a writer but I started the wrong way around, submitting some truly bad stories to Issac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine (This was back when Asimov was still alive and commenting in the 'zine; I was in 7th grade.) Found fanzines through a writing contact when ST:TNG and the War of the Worlds series were in first run syndication. I do write professionally and it will always take precedence over fan writing but I'm publishing erraticly at best. ;)
My pseudonym on here is my real name with initials instead of first name and middle initial. If anyone wants me to post a story from my fanzine writings as either TLC or Tammy L Croft, I will--IF the original 'zine isn't in print. And "Devil With a Glass Hand" from VONEGRAN'S VEIL will NOT be posted here until Pat Ames gives me permission. It was written specificly for that collection of stories and I will not post it elsewhere without her knowledge.On the personal front, I'm the single mother of a son on the autism spectrum who is adjusting very well to adulthood. David was born in 1998 and has been lucky enough to always be mainstreamed in school--and loves working at Good Will sorting merchandise, checking the books (can you tell Math was his favorite subject?), and generally keeping the store in shape--and pulling weeds when they can't find anything else for him to do. I spent most of my post college life working with my father in his lumber business and sawmill, then helping in his woodworking after he became disabled. We lost him in Feb. 2019, and my completely disabled mother is now in a Home under long term care.
Want to know anything about wood, logging, furniture making/woodworking, and firearms/hunting? I can probably answer that, at least enough to point you in the right direction. I also sew, crochet, knit, and do a lot of different handicrafts-when I'm not feeding my rapacious reading addiction.
I welcome any and all comments/critiques/suggestions.
