Summary
"Wow," Joe breathed as he leaned over the staircase railing.
"What?" Lucy said, not moving her eyes from the new Tetris: Cosmos game. Joe had hoped he'd keep his position at the top the 118's league table for at least a single day, but it was looking increasingly unlikely as Lucy completed starburst row after starburst row.
"The hottest guy I have ever seen just walked into the firehouse, and he's carrying a baby."
"Eddie," Lucy yelled in the direction of the kitchen. "Your husband's here."

Summary
For all his talk about not being a doormat, it was in Oliver's nature to be pliant. Amenable. Helpful. All Connor had to do was mention that the information they needed could possibly exonerate an innocent person, and Oliver was all for the plan. His only concern was that he didn't know how to seduce anyone. Connor reassured him that he only needed to be himself.
(Written to fulfill this prompt from someone who wishes to remain anonymous: "Connor uses Oliver to seduce someone for him, and then regrets it when the mark gets a little rough with his not-boyfriend.")

Summary
Buck doesn’t know what he’s going to say next. All he hears is the awful sound of splintering wood, a beam emancipating itself from above them. Without another thought, Buck lunges forward and pushes Eddie out of its path.
When Buck falls through the unstable give of the floor, he feels a bone chilling terror. But it’s okay, because Eddie was knocked away. The beam missed him.
Then, a terrible noise like thunder, a mammoth of sound, and Eddie is falling too. Why is Eddie falling too?
Buck takes a great big tumble. Like always, Eddie is right behind him.

Summary
“That’s the fifth time I’ve hit my hip on the table,” he says, rubbing his side as if it’ll stop the sting. “Your kitchen is too small.”
“I know.” Eddie grabs for the butterknife and starts the precarious process of raking away the black streak without fucking up his masterpiece beneath. “We’ll look for a house with a bigger kitchen on Zillow after the bake sale.”
Buck makes a funny noise, like a raccoon caught in the trash. “What?”
-
Eddie buys a new house, battles with the homeowner's association, omits the truth, almost dies, and during the process realizes yeah, he's a little bit in love with his best friend.

Summary
It’s not even three minutes after he switches off the light that the door bangs open. Bangs open, not even an attempt at quietness.
“Eddie,” Buck stage-whispers, “you’re not asleep yet, right?”
“No,” Eddie grumbles, flicking on the light when Buck bumps heavily into something and swears. “But I could’ve been.”
“Eddie, Eddie,” Buck sings breathily, shucking his trousers and clambering onto the bed in just his boxers and a button-down shirt. “Why is there only one bed?”
“Um,” Eddie draws the comforter up to his chin, as if he can shield himself from the half-naked—oh, three-quarters naked, he’s pulling off his shirt now—Buck with just a duvet.
or, sharing a bed with your best friend is fine, usually, except for when your best friend is the particular combination of tipsy and stoned at his sister’s wedding that transforms him into 200 pounds of cuddlebug
