Chapter Text
Life has always been a struggle for Jimin. Though he wasn't born into a wealthy family, he had a decent childhood. They couldn't buy him and his little brother everything they wanted, but they did their best.
All of that changed when he was 16 though. He lost his parents, one after another. His father was hit by a drunk driver, and his mother passed away a few months later out of grief. They loved each other so much when they were alive. They probably wanted to stay together in death as well.
But Jimin wishes his mother had stayed, that she hadn't left him alone to take care of everything. He was barely a teenager, with a 12 year old to take care of.
They were going to be sent to the foster system, and the last thing he wanted was to be separated from his brother, so he applied for Emancipation. He dropped out of high school, got a job as a waiter at a local restaurant, and the rest is history.
Now, at 21, he's still a waiter, albeit at a posh restaurant. The pay's good, and he makes enough to have a roof over their heads and let his brother finish high school without having to work. His dream is to send his brother to college, since he never got to go, but unfortunately, he'll never be able to save enough to achieve that dream. His brother isn't a star pupil either, so scholarships are out the question.
Well, maybe life isn't hell for Jimin now, but it certainly isn't heaven either.
