Chapter Text
Sometimes, even Taehyung didn’t really know what was going on in his head. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been hanging upside down off his bed with his feet in the air, in an attempt to do a handstand but he was determined to not give up until he finally did so.
After a particularly loud fall, Jungkook walked into his room to see him face down on the floor. Taehyung picked up his head and groaned in pain as he looked up at the younger sheepishly. Jungkook just raised an eyebrow and asked him what he was doing on the floor.
“I wanted to do a handstand”
“On the bed?”
Taehyung rolled his eyes and explained that he was using the bed for support, making Jungkook chuckle as he sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Taehyung.
“Wouldn’t it be easier to use the wall then?”
Taehyung’s eyes widened as re realized that yeah, it probably would be easier and so he crawled over to the wall and began to flip himself upside down.
After a few (a lot) failed attempts, he was finally able to do a decent handstand. Excited, he went to wave his arms to get Jungkooks attention, almost losing his balance before realizing his mistake.
“Kookie, look I did it!”
Jungkook looked up from his phone (where he was taking pictures of the older boy, but Taehyung didn’t need to know that) and gave a congratulatory smile to Taehyung.
Everything seemed to be going well as Taehyung basked in his newfound talent.
That is, until Jimin opened the door and Taehyung tumbled over face first.
The room fell silent as Jimin stare wide eyed at Taehyung, who was rolling around on the floor and groaning. Jungkook was the first to break the silence by laughing at the scene in front of him.
Jimin continued to stand in the doorway confused as Taehyung began to laugh as well. Moments later though, he was laughing as much as the others as he walked over to where Taehyung had rolled himself. Jimin stuck out his hand and helped the other stand up before grabbing his laptop and sitting on the bed.
The other two quickly followed as Taehyung situated the three of them so that he was in the middle. Jimin queued up a movie, knowing none of them would watch it. Taehyung finally filled a confused Jimin in about what’d happened, which led to another round of laughter. And as they began talking about their days and whatever came to mind, Jimin began the movie.
They talked over the whole movie, none of them caring in the least. Jimin closed the laptop and set it aside as Jungkooks head slumped over onto Taehyungs shoulder. Taehyung pulled Jimin in closer and it didn’t take much time for him to submit to his drowsiness.
Taehyung thought of two things before he fell asleep; he decided that he wouldn’t try to do handstands for a long time (at least not on doors or hard floors anyway) and that he would always cherish these little moments.
