“You don’t have to do this, Your Highness. Going through the portal – it’s far too dangerous. Forgive me if I’m stepping out of line, Your Highness, but this is for your safety.” Jeongguk paced back and forth, while the Prince trailed him with his eyes, full of interest.
When the Prince announced that he would cross over their realm to the human world, he was utterly worried. He had heard terrible things of the human world. There was a reason why their portal was separated from the humans’. Humans were known for taking advantage. Stealing. Robbing their kind of everything they had.
“If Mother insists to restrict me, I will find a way to rebel her, still.” The Prince said coolly.
“But not at the risk of your safety, Your Highness. May I remind you that you are the only heir to the throne?”
“How can I forget?” He sneered. “That is the very reason why Mother is proceeding with this balderdash.”
“And you are going to be as insensible as her?”
“Calling the Queen insensible hmm?” The Prince’s lips curled in amusement.
“I’m merely following your context, Your Highness.” Jeongguk smiled a bit.
He looked at the Prince and saw determination in his black eyes.
“You are going to proceed with this, aren’t you?” He asked with a weary tone. The Prince merely nodded.
He sighed.
“I guess I will arrange everything for your trip to go smoothly, Your Highness.”
“Call High Fae Namjoon for me. He is my companion for this trip.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
