In hindsight, you’d thought you were smarter than this. Checking out a strange noise down an alley is the easiest way to get yourself hurt, but here you are. A scrawny grey cat you’d found near the back hisses at you, crouched over several small kittens and it breaks your heart. You sigh and pull out a moderately priced can of salmon you'd picked up earlier as a gift for yourself and rip the tab off, squatting down to slide it carefully over to the nervous animal. It only glances at the can briefly before staring you down again. You guessed you’d just have to leave and hope you hadn't wasted your money.
“The fuck are you doing to her?” You jumped and twisted around ready to defend yourself from whoever spoke, but there was a hand on your arm yanking you to the side before you could react. His grip didn't waver even as he glanced over the cat, then back to you with mild annoyance. You told him you were just trying to feed her and were actually getting ready to leave. He scowls and starts to speak but a loud groan interrupts him and makes the two of you look down at his stomach.
He grins and raises his eyes back to your confused expression before pressing you into the wall with his massive belly.
“You only fed one cat, you know?”
You managed to stutter that you didn't see any others hanging around besides the kittens, and you only had the one can of fish with you. His smile only gets wider. You blink and before your eyes he's changed, soft grey fur and glowing slitted eyes are all you see before you're shoving him away from you and running. Like hell you're ready to deal with this. You almost reach the entrance you'd come in from, but then he's there, long tail swishing threateningly behind him and ears pinned back as he growls at you. You scream and almost trip turning around, but manage to stay upright and get to another exit, or so you thought.
The connected alleys have too many twists and turns for you to keep track of and your panic is only amplified by the animalistic noises that echo throughout the area. You're very quickly lost. A scared whimper squeezes out of your throat as you hit a dead end, deciding to crouch behind one of the trash cans instead of turning around and risking running into the monster.
You try hard to slow your breathing, shaking with the effort of keeping quiet and trying not to cry. All you can think about is how long you’ll have to stay here, and it's making it hard to keep it together. A hiccup slips out and the next thing you know you're being yanked forward and held up by your ankles with your shoulders hitting the ground. It's not comfortable at all.
“That was fun, right? You should hold still now though, it’ll be easier on both of us.”
You feel your shoes being ripped off and two soft thumps as they hit the ground. You're almost offended, really. He brings one of your feet to his face and without hesitation you use the other to kick him. As you scramble away on all fours though another growl rips its way out of him and he's on you again, holding your hands above your head with one.. paw you guess? That's still so weird. The other is placed gently at your neck to keep you still. He laughs now, low and menacing and right in your ear holy shit that's kinda hot. The next thing you feel is slick heat enveloping both of your hands, and you whine when you realize your neck doesn't bend back enough to let you see what's happening.
There's a rhythmic squeezing as your arms are pulled into the damp cavern and you figure out then what's going on. The wet, noisy gulps make it clear that he's swallowing you whole. You start to scream but can't even get the sound out because he's already made it to your head. You're completely stuck now, the only hope of getting away would be for him to let you
go. You don't really think that's going to happen. Any noises you make now are muffled by the slimy walls contracting around you. You feel yourself being shifted, he's laid down on the ground now and moved you with him.
There's a moment where he stops swallowing, and you take the chance to struggle. For a split second you can feel hope as you slide out slightly, but with a single thick gulp he's pulled you right back where you were. This goes on for only several minutes before you’re too tired to move anymore and just give up, letting yourself fall limp. He waits then, and after realizing you're done being difficult starts sucking you down leisurely. You're too tired to cry at this point, the deep, soothing rumbling surrounding you suddenly helping relax you a little.
He's going so slowly that it feels like hours of sliding through the soft, damp tunnel before you realize your body is gently being forced to curl up. It's even warmer in his stomach, and while the purring doesn't let up, you can still hear the deep groans that signal you’re not getting out. You beg him now, telling him that you'll do anything if he lets you live.
“Anything..?” He laughs again, it's sadistic and your stomach twists in a way that makes you hate yourself. He hums to himself and you feel him shift so that he's sitting upright now. Being upside down is super disorienting in this situation, you learn. “Beg for it, then. Call me Ichimatsu-sama and apologize for not being a good snack.”
Apparently he's trying to embarrass you to death now, but honestly what do you have to lose anymore? You tell Ichimatsu-sama how bad you've been, saying you'll make it up to him and be good if he'll only let you out. His stomach starts squeezing around you harder, making you panic.
“Ah, looks like you weren't fast enough, too late to get you back out now.” You cry out, begging loudly and writhing helplessly against the churning belly. He groans and you feel him shift again, flopping down so the walls squish tightly around you. “Shut up and listen closely, I’m not going to repeat myself.” You don't want to do what he says, but his voice is deep and commanding even as he's panting. You somehow manage to choke back your voice for the most part, hiccuping occasionally but staying relatively silent.
“Good. Food really shouldn’t speak.” It feels like he's rubbing his stomach. “You're about to pass out, and I'm going to digest you.” You answer with a low whine. “Quiet. It won't hurt, and you'll wake up wherever you fell asleep last.” You don't really believe him, but it's not like that matters right now. “In three days, you'll come back to this alley and we’re gonna do this all over again. If you don't, I'll find you and you will be punished for disobedience.” You almost hope he's lying now. “You did so well tonight. Now go to sleep unless you want to see how quickly I go through food.”
You're too tired to resist anymore, and as the purring starts back up and the last of the adrenaline leaves you, you let yourself doze off.
