Work Text:
Jimin couldn’t be more frustrated.
“I hate him,” Jimin groaned as he planted himself on the ground, cheeks touching the cold floor.
Taehyung chuckled, closing the door behind him. “I bet you do.” He looked at his roommate on the ground. “Stand up, the floor is so dirty, I haven’t cleaned all day.”
“Aw, Tae!” Jimin grunted as he stood up and moved over to the couch to do the same thing. “It was your turn to clean today!”
Taehyung shrugged, lifting Jimin’s legs so he could sit on one side of the couch, then placing it on his lap. “I was about to, but Jin-hyung suddenly invited us for dinner.”
Jimin sat up and faced his best friend. “You got me into this mess. If you didn’t introduce me and Kookie to them–“
“He doesn’t like being called Kookie,” Taehyung replied on instinct in behalf of the freshman. Jimin rolled his eyes. He has no time to deal with their obliviousness now; he has bigger issues to work on a.k.a. his stupid crush.
“That’s not important. If you didn’t introduce us to them, I wouldn’t be having this problem right now!” Jimin exclaimed in frustration as he grabbed a pillow from the couch and stuffed his face on it.
It was true. If Taehyung wasn’t in the play Seokjin was in, they wouldn’t have been friends and they wouldn’t have introduced their friends to each other. The 7 of them wouldn’t have started hanging out with each other since then. Jimin wouldn’t have–
Oh who was he kidding? It was his own fault. He was the one who ended up having feelings for one of Seokjin’s friends.
“Oh, Chimchim, Jimothy, my bro,” Taehyung said, scooting over to sling an arm around his roommate, “you can complain all you want but you like hanging out with them as much as I do, you even like one of them more than–“ Jimin nudged him on his side, making Taehyung jump away from him. “You’re getting violent, Jiminie.”
“Don’t tease me! This is a serious problem!” Jimin whined. “How can I stop liking him?”
“Well,” Taehyung placed two fingers on his chin as if he was really thinking about it, “you could avoid him?”
“Don’t you watch all those dramas? When did that ever work? Besides, we’re all friends, how can I just suddenly start avoiding him?” Jimin said, his voice muffled since he still had his face on the pillow.
“Date someone to get over him?”
“That’s unfair to the one I’ll end up dating.”
“Okay, then picture him with zits all over his face.”
“What am I, 12? And have you seen his skin? I’ve never seen a pimple on his face, ever.”
“True.”
“Besides, I don’t like him because of his face, I’d still like him even if he had bushy eyebrows and a double chin.”
“Aw!”
“Tae!”
“I don’t fucking know, Jimin, move to America?”
Jimin lifted his head up from the pillow and used the pillow to hit his best friend, making Taehyung stand up from the couch.
“You’re very violent when you’re in love,” Taehyung teased as he dodged another swing of the pillow towards him and ran towards the kitchen.
“You’re not helpful!” Jimin sighed. He grabbed his phone from his pocket and unlocked it. “I bet the internet has better suggestions than you.”
“Yeah, I bet,” Taehyung sarcastically remarked from the kitchen. “You want orange juice?”
“Apple juice please!” Jimin yelled without looking up from his phone as he clicked on the search engine on his phone.
“I’ll even squeeze the apples we have so you feel better, my bro!” Jimin just ignored him – they don’t even have any apples – as he typed on his phone.
How to stop liking someone your friend introduced you to and ended up being one of your closest friends and–
Jimin shook his head then deleted the words, he was being too specific. He typed another question as Taehyung sat back down next to him, setting down his apple juice on the coffee table.
How to stop liking someone?
“Did the internet tell you what to do?” Taehyung snickered as he took a sip from his glass of orange juice.
Jimin clicked on the top result - even though it said love not like, he's not at that level yet - and scanned the page. He smirked then looked at his roommate. “The internet did, it’s much more helpful than you.”
His roommate scoffed. “Are you really going through with that?”
“I’m desperate.” Jimin sighed, sinking into his seat. “Liking him would just cause too much trouble, I’m not even sure if he’s into guys!”
Taehyung set down his own drink on the table and wrapped an arm around Jimin’s shoulders again.
“Besides,” Jimin rested his head on his best friend’s shoulder. “It’s Yoongi. He’s basically my best friend, next to you of course,” he quickly added the last part when he felt Taehyung playfully squeeze his shoulders, “I don’t want to ruin our friendship just because I suddenly think holding his hand is better than a bro-fist.”
---
「I: Ask yourself if you really love this person.」
---
“Are you really following through with what the internet told you?” Taehyung chuckled as he set both of their empty bowls on the sink.
Jimin finished his hot chocolate and placed the mug on the sink too. “There’s no harm in trying,” he shrugged. He walked over to the table again and unlocked his phone. “I’m desperate.”
Taehyung walked over to where he was and hooked his chin on Jimin’s shoulder as he looked at his phone. “What even is the first step?”
Jimin clicked on his notes – he typed it into a checklist because he was very serious about it – then showed the phone to Taehyung.
Taehyung snorted. “Love? I thought this was just how to stop liking someone."
Jimin rolled his eyes then edited the sentence. “There, I changed it, happy?” Jimin locked his phone then slid it into his jean pocket as Taehyung nodded.
The both of them grabbed their bags from the couch and exited the apartment while talking about the masterpiece that is High School Musical – “It’s the musical of this generation, okay, Chim?” “I know, Tae, you’ve told me like a million times.”
They were about to separate to go to their respective classes when Taehyung brought up the step-by-step list again. “I hope this works, Jiminie, but if it doesn’t, just talk to me, okay? Or him.” Jimin nodded. He waved goodbye as he turned right and Taehyung walked the other way.
He wasn’t even relying on the article to actually help him. It was just comforting to know that he’s doing something to stop his feelings rather than just sitting and letting it take over him.
Jimin didn’t think about it until his last class. Two out of the three classes he has attended that day gave surprise quizzes and the third one had a graded recitation. He sighed as he sat down on his seat and watched as the other students shuffled inside, eventually followed by their professor.
Thankfully, Professor Yoo just gave them an assigned reading as he worked on his laptop. He probably had something to finish for his grad program that he forgot to do ahead of time. Jimin smiled. If he was a teacher, he’d probably be like Professor Yoo.
There were 30 minutes left until they get dismissed, Jimin stopped reading 10 minutes after his professor told them what to read – he spent 5 of that 10 minutes reading the same page over and over again because he was too busy thinking about how poor he probably did during his quizzes that morning.
He gave up after 3 pages and stared outside the window instead. He can see the university quad from where he was, he can see all the students there, waiting for their next class and probably hoping it gets cancelled.
Speaking of students who wish for classes to get cancelled, he grabbed his phone and looked at his list again.
It’s not that Yoongi hates school, it’s just.. yeah he hates school. He hates how they’re judged for how high their scores are on their exams rather than on how much they understand the lessons. “High scores don’t always equal to understanding the material, I could’ve just memorized the things in my book and not actually understand anything they teach,” he always said.
Jimin shook his head as he quietly chuckled. In the span of knowing Yoongi for a year, he has never seen the older lightly believe on something. When he believes in something, he puts an effort into voicing out his opinion, but he has never crossed the line. No matter how much the other person disagrees with Yoongi’s opinion, he still always treats them with respect.
Yoongi was such an open-minded person, Jimin was so glad to have met someone like him. Yoongi has taught him that it’s okay to believe in different things. It’s okay to prefer hot chocolate while others prefer strong coffee. It’s okay to disagree with someone’s choice and tell them. It’s okay to say no even though everyone else said yes.
What’s not okay is pushing your hot chocolate to someone who likes the bitter taste of coffee over the sweetness of the chocolate beverage. What’s not okay is actively trying to change their choice just because you personally like the other option better. What’s not okay is making someone say the same thing as you just because you think everybody else is wrong and you’re the only one right.
Jimin has lived his whole life just going with the flow of everything around him. He never spoke up and used his voice because if almost everybody is saying the same thing, then that means they’re correct, right? Majority wins, right?
It took Jimin a few years to think otherwise.
Just because everybody else believes in something doesn’t mean he should believe in it too. Just because everybody else puts the cereal first before the milk doesn’t mean he should do the same thing – but he does put the cereal first before the milk, Taehyung does the opposite though and that’s completely fine.
What’s the best part is that Yoongi never pushed those ideals on him. It was Jimin who decided to live by that after meeting Yoongi and seeing him happy as he voiced out his opinions and shut his mouth once other people used their voice too. “We were given our own voices for a reason, what’s the point of copying what everybody else is saying? It just makes you an echo,” Yoongi said one day.
Professor Yoo’s phone alarmed, signalling the end of class and snapping Jimin out of his reverie. He closed his book, placed it in his bag and exited the room. He watched everyone file out of the room as he exited as well but not before he lagged behind to say good bye to his professor and wish him luck on whatever it was that was stressing him out, which made the professor smile as he thanked his student.
“Professor Yoo still up and running?”
Jimin looked to his right and saw Yoongi leaning back on the wall next to the door. He locked his phone then looked at Jimin.
Jimin nodded as he chuckled. “If I were him I probably would’ve already passed out one week in the school year.”
“Well,” Yoongi said as they walked towards the stairs – there would be too many people waiting for the elevator, they didn’t want to push themselves against sweaty college students when they could endure two flights of stairs, “thankfully you wouldn’t be a teacher once you finish college.”
Jimin sighed. “Yeah, thankfully.”
“I still think you’d be an excellent college professor, you know, imagine all the enthusiastic students that will like going to class because you’re their professor,” Yoongi commented. Jimin lightly nudged the older as he laughed. “But you’d be the best choreographer if it’s really what you want.”
Yoongi looked at him and smiled. Jimin returned the smile before looking away and walking straight ahead. Yoongi started talking about what movie Seokjin probably has planned for their weekly Movie Night Friday at his and Namjoon’s shared apartment but Jimin can only pick up a few words because he was thinking too much again.
Ask yourself if you really love like this person.
He could lie and try to convince himself that he doesn’t but what’s the point of trying to fool himself when he knows deep inside him that he does.
He likes Yoongi. He likes him a lot. What’s not to like?

「II: Determine whether there is any hope for a relationship.」
---
“The first one didn’t help, huh?” Jeongguk said as he took a sip from his iced coffee.
They – Jimin, Taehyung and Jeongguk – were currently at their favourite cafe off-campus. It was Saturday morning and Taehyung just explained to Jeongguk what Jimin was doing.
Jimin shook his head. He grabbed his fork and stabbed the slice of pastry he ordered.
“Woah, don’t murder the cheesecake just because you’re having relationship problems.” Taehyung pulled the plate towards him and away from Jimin.
“We’re not in a relationhip,” Jimin said before putting both his arms on the table and resting his head on it.
“Speaking of relationships,” Taehyung started, “isn’t the second thing on that list something about a relationship?”
Jimin unlocked his phone and clicked on his notes without lifting his head up. He jabbed his phone towards his best friends and let them read it. Taehyung grabbed his own after that then started typing on it while Jeongguk started lecturing.
“Oh, that’s easy,” Jeongguk said as Jimin pocketed his phone again. “Yoongi-hyung hasn’t been in a relationship since, what, ever? He’s probably going to be an old cat lady.”
“Dogs,” Jimin corrected, lifting his head up. He propped his right hand on the table and rested his chin on his palm. “He prefers dogs over cats. Holly?”
“Oh yeah,” Jeongguk said, leaning back on his chair. “Old dog grandpa, then.”
Jimin rolled his eyes, grabbing his plate of blueberry cheesecake again. Taehyung looked at him, warning him to not murder it again. Jimin just shook his head as he started to eat. “I think it’s more of a whether it’s possible for us to start a relationship together rather than whether it’s possible for him to start dating someone.” Jimin looked at his roommate, expecting him to back him up.
Taehyung just shrugged then continued typing on his phone. Jimin rolled his eyes again and continued eating.
“Well, if it isn’t possible for him to start dating someone then that automatically means it isn’t possible for you guys to date, right?” Jeongguk pointed out. Jimin groaned. Of course the freshman was right. Why did he have more knowledge about this whole dating him rather than Jimin?
“I think it’s possible for Yoongi-hyung to date, he didn’t swear off dating, you know?” Taehyung said.
“What makes you say that?” Jimin asked, tilting his head to the side as scraped off some of blueberry jam on top of the cheesecake and brought the fork to his mouth.
“Oh, I asked Jin-hyung.”
Jimin nodded. “Oh, I th– you what?!” Jimin grabbed Taehyung’s phone from his hands.
Jeongguk started chuckling as Taehyung explained the situation but Jimin ignored them as he read the conversation on the screen.
-
Taetae: hyung, did yoongi-hyung swear off relationships to fulfill his duties as a lonely rock?
Taetae: has he even dated someone before
Jinnie-hyung: i don't think he swore off relationships but he is a lonely rock
Jinnie-hyung: he dated someone for 2 years during high school i think
Jinnie-hyung: then he went on dates during college, but that was before we guys started hanging out
Jinnie-hyung: i don’t think he swore off on dating
Jinnie-hyung: i think he likes someone actually, don’t tell anyone though, it’s just a motherly intuition
Taetae: oh, thanks hyung!!
Jinnie-hyung: why’d you ask
Taetae: i have to write something about “being lucky” for class
Taetae: i thought of “being lucky to not have experienced being in love and also being unlucky not to” or smthng like that then i thought of yoongi-hyung since i haven’t seen him date someone
Jinnie-hyung: oh, wow tae that seems beautiful
Jinnie-hyung: good luck on that!!
-
“Yoongi-hyung likes someone?!” Jimin exclaimed as Jeongguk grabbed the phone from him so he could read it too.
“Did you see my excuse? I thought of that the moment he asked me, I’m a genius.” Taehyung looked proud as he pretended to brush something off of his shoulders.
Jimin covered his face with both of his hands and groaned.
“Look, hyung, Jin-hyung said he just thinks he like someone,” Jeongguk said in hopes of comforting Jimin. He gave Taehyung his phone back then grabbed his iced coffee again. “It probably isn’t true.”
“Okay, but when has Jin-hyung ever been wrong?” Jimin argued.
The two people in front of him paused to think about it then eventually nodded in agreement. Jimin groaned again.
“Hey, hey, doesn’t this help though?” Taehyung said, reaching over to put a hand on Jimin’s shoulders. “It sucks but it’s easier to accept it early on, you know?”
Jimin sighed, leaning back on his chair. “You’re right. I just, I didn’t know getting over him would be as painful as liking him.”
-
“Why not?” Hoseok whined from where he was sitting on the floor. Jeogguk, who was sitting next to him, patted his back as he tried not to laugh at how Hoseok was reacting.
They all had dinner together at a restaurant Seokjin suggested that Saturday night, he always takes them to restaurants he likes. They didn’t want to go back to their places yet so they all ended up at Seokjin and Namjoon’s place again to have some drinks. They’ve always been around each other ever since the 7 of them met, the Friends squad would be jealous on how much time they spend together.
“No,” Seokjin sternly said. “I’m not letting anyone play Fuck, Marry, Kill in my apartment.
“Party pooper,” Hoseok pouted. He grabbed his can of beer from the table and took a sip.
Seokjin shook his head. “I don’t want to know who any of you would fuck, okay? How about, uh, would you date instead? That’s more civilized than who you’d fuck.” Hoseok thought about it for a moment then eventually shrugged in agreement. “Okay, Hoseok-ah, you first. Would you date Tinashe?”
Everybody groaned except for Seokjin who had a huge smile on his face and Hoseok who looked excited to answer the question. “Is that even a question?”
“Okay, let’s move on then,” Yoongi suggested from his seat on the floor, he was resting his head on Jimin’s knees as Jimin comfortably sat on the single seat couch while Seokjin, Namjoon and Taehyung shared the couch. Jimin wouldn’t tell anyone, except probably Taehyung and Jeongguk, how hard he’s trying to control his heart from beating so fast due to the situation.
“Of course, I’ll date her,” Hoseok answered, ignoring Yoongi, who just shook his head then looked up at Jimin giving him the can-you-believe-this-guy? look. Jimin smiled as Yoongi returned his attention to Hoseok who apparently had more to say.
“I’ll marry her. I’ll cook her breakfast in bed every single morning. I’ll have 4 kids with her, 2 boys and 2 girls. I’ll tie our little girls’ hairs into pigtails then drive them to school every morning then we’ll fall asleep together at night then wake up next to each other then I’ll cook her breakfast again.” Hoseok had a smile on his face as he told him about his future marriage with Tinashe.
“Okay, if you’re done with your family planning, let’s move on and you ask someone else,” Yoongi suggested again.
Hoseok pursed his lips then scanned the room. His eyes stopped on Jeongguk then asked, “Would you date Justin Bieber, Kookie-ah?”
“Don’t call me Kookie,” Jeongguk said at the same time Taehyung said ‘Don’t call him Kookie’ but it didn’t seem to faze them. Everyone else subtlety rolled their eyes at the 2 as Jeongguk answered. “And hell yeah I’d date the Biebs.”
“Really?” Taehyung asked from his seat on the couch. Jimin felt Yoongi scoff a little.
Jeongguk shrugged. “Have you heard his voice? I’d marry that voice.”
Taehyung shook his head then looked at Jimin then at Yoongi then raised his hand. “Ooh, I got one, I’ll ask next!”
“Sure.” Jeongguk shrugged, taking a sip from his own can of beer.
“Okay,” Taehyung rubbed his hands together like he was planning something then looked at Jimin and Yoongi. “Yoongi-hyung, would you date Jimin?”
Jimin’s eyes widened and he almost choked on his own saliva. “Are you crazy? Aren’t we just doing famous people here? Like someone we’re impossible to meet? Why would you–“
“I would.” Jimin heard Yoongi say.
“What?” Jimin asked, looking at Yoongi, but the older didn’t look at him and just shrugged.
“Who wouldn’t?” Yoongi said.
“Really? Then would you–“ Taehyung started to talk but was cut off by Yoongi.
“Nope, you’re turn is over, my turn, Namjoon would you date Hoseok?” He asked then finally looked up at Jimin once Namjoon and Hoseok started their argument about whose loss would it be if they did date. “You okay?”
Jimin nodded then whispered, “Thank you.”
Yoongi just smiled. He sat up then rested his arm on Jimin’s knees instead of laying his head on it. He returned his attention back to the group. “Would Jin-hyung let Hoseok, though?”
“Yeah, take him, he’s a bit clumsy,” Seokjin teasingly answered immediately. Namjoon looked at his boyfriend and placed his hand above his heart like he was offended. Seokjin laughed then wrapped his arms around Namjoon’s torso. “I’m kidding, no one can take my Joonie away from me.”
“Married couples are gross.” Hoseok made a disgusted face. “Except for me and Tinashe.”
-
“I can’t believe you really asked that.” Jimin sighed as he walked along side Taehyung towards their apartment.
They stayed for 2 more hours after the game ended. They watched some crappy drama that was on the TV and spent the whole time making comments about it. From something as simple as how the outfits of the characters clashed to something about how ridiculous it was that the lead male character being too possessive and controlling over the lead female character was seen as “romantic.”
“I’m sorry, Jiminie, that was really rude of me.” Taehyung sighed.
Jimin looked at his friend then slung an arm around him. “I know you just wanted to help, I just think there were other ways to do that. Just, don’t do anything like that again, okay?”
Taehyung nodded vigorously as he stopped walking and hugged his best friend. Jimin chuckled as he hugged Taehyung back. He only meant well and Taehyung never does anything that makes his friends uncomfortable again once he’s told to.
Taehyung pulled away from the hug but left his hands on both of Jimin’s shoulders. “He said he would, though, that’s got to be a good sign!”
Jimin smiled, Taehyung only wanted what’s best for him. “He was just being nice, you know. He knows I have the worst self-esteem between all of us.”
“Jiminie..” Taehyung pouted.
“It’s fine, Tae, really.” Jimin started to walk again as Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin. “I don’t want to give myself false hope.”
Taehyung sighed, tightening his arms around Jimin’s. “Okay. You have 3 more on that list right?”
Jimin chuckled as he nodded. “3 more. I hope they work.” They remained quiet as they walked the rest of the distance to their apartment.
“I would. Who wouldn’t?”
Jimin smiled a little. Of course that’s what he’d say. Yoongi has always made it his personal mission to help Jimin feel good about himself, and that includes helping Jimin know that anybody would be lucky to date him.
It started when Yoongi comforted Jimin after a break-up from his boyfriend of one month. “He’s a jerk, you know? How could he make you feel bad about yourself just to make him feel good about himself? Don’t ever let anyone make you feel like you aren’t worth it, okay? Because you are. Only an idiot like that ex-boyfriend of yours would be blind enough to not see that.”
Jimin laughed to himself once they reached the apartment and Taehyung unlocked the door.
Come to think of it, that was also the same day he realized he liked Yoongi.

「III: Make a list of all the reasons why it would never work.」
---
“What are you writing?” Taehyung asked as he took a bite from his granola bar then sat down next to Jimin on their couch. “You’ve been scribbling for 10 minutes.”
Jimin was curled up in his seat, a notebook resting on his knees as he wrote down on it. “Working on the 3rd one on the list; a list of reasons why we would never work.”
“Ooh, how many have you written down?” Taehyung scooted over to get a peak on the notebook. “Wow.”
“I know.” Jimin sighed.
“What?” Jeongguk asked from his seat on the floor. “Let me se– what the fuck!” Jeongguk exclaimed. He raised his hand, holding a controller, in frustration as he watched his character, Bowser, fall down the rainbow road.
Jimin rolled his eyes. “You basically just come here to play Tae’s Xbox, why don’t you buy your own?”
“Because the dorm I share with Yugyeom is too small to have a TV and an Xbox,” Jeongguk explained as he walked over to where his hyungs were then sat on the armrest of the couch. “Also, I’m a poor college freshman struggling to pay for tuition, how do you think I can afford an Xbox?”
“Uh, I started working as a dance instructor to kids since I was a freshman, why don’t you get a job?” Jimin argued, crossing his arms over his chest.
Jeongguk just shook his head. “I already applied to work at that instrument shop near campus, okay? Why are you even lecturing me on this? Tae-hyung got his Xbox since he was in high school.”
“I was born in Busan first!”
“What’s that got to do with anything?!”
“Can you stop arguing? What the hell?” Taehyung stood up and grabbed the controller Jeongguk left behind.
Jeongguk immediately forgot about the little bickering he was in earlier then walked over next to Taehyung. “Good, let’s play.”
“Nope, Kookie.” Taehyung grabbed the other control away from Jeongguk as he continued playing the game. “I always lose when I play with you. Shoo. Go help Jimin with his list.”
Jeongguk huffed then walked back to the couch. He sat next to Jimin then grabbed the notebook. “Let’s see what you got, hyung.” Jeongguk stared at the paper for a whole minute until he looked at Jimin. “You are aware that you’ve written nothing but ‘list of reasons’ on this paper, right?”
Jimin groaned, grabbing his notebook back. “I know. It’s just that every time I think of what could possibly go wrong, I also think of what we could to solve the problem.”
Jeongguk rubbed the back of his neck as he thought of reasons. “How about this? You’re a dancer who likes to move around while Yoongi-hyung would like to be a rock in his next life.”
Taehyung laughed from his seat in front of the TV. Jimin shook his head. “I mean, we could just–“
“Nope.” Jeongguk grabbed Jimin’s pen that fell on the couch and handed it to him. “Nope, just write. No buts or ‘we could just’ nope.”
Jimin rolled his eyes as he wrote down what Jeongguk said. “What else?”
“How about the fact that we don’t even know if he’s into guys?” Jeongguk suggested.
“He literally just said he’d date Jimin,” Taehyung piped in without taking his attention away from his game.
“And I said I’d date Justin Bieber, that doesn’t mean I’m into guys,” Jeongguk said.
Jimin snorted. “Sure, Kookie.”
“Not Kookie,” his best friends said at the same time, again. Jimin almost threw himself out of the window right then and there. But he kept his calm. He’s got his own problems.
“Okay, sure,” Jimin surrendered, writing it down on his notebook. “I mean that makes sense, it’s not like I have the guts to talk to him and go ‘hey, bro, are you gay? ‘cause I am, wanna kiss?’”
Jeongguk chuckled. “Okay, yeah. Think about even the simplest things that you think would cause you problems if ever you guys did date.”
Jimin took a deep breath as he tried to think of things. “He doesn’t like socializing while I like hanging out with people?”
“That’s one, think about more.”
-
By the time Jimin filled almost half the page, he stopped to read what he has already written.
4. He isn’t fond of sweet things, I have a sweet tooth.
7. He prefers sleeping over.. any activity, really.
12. He stole a candy from a child once. (Jimin: Did he really? Taehyung: No, I just can’t think of anything else but he did steal my last bite of cupcake once. Jimin: Tae.. Taehyung: Then he bought me 3 new cupcakes after that. Jimin: Tae! That’s not helping!)
Jimin huffed as he read all he listed. “These are stupid reasons. If we’re being honest here this could pass more as ‘reasons I like him’, you know?” He chuckled as he felt tears well up in his eyes.
Jeongguk looked at him, eyes full of concern. Taehyung paused the game to squeeze himself between Jimin and the armrest then proceeded to hug his roommate.
Jimin gave a soft smile. “These are just our differences,” he gestured to his notebook, “I like our differences.” Jimin wiped a tear before it streamed down his cheek.
“Jiminie..” Taehyung rubbed circles on Jimin’s back to give him comfort.
“I like him to the point where I’d pass on a club invitation to stay home on a Friday night with him and I’m sure he’d go to a party with me if I really wanted to because that’s the kind of person he is.” Jimin didn’t stop himself from crying this time. “And that’s why I like him. That’s why I’m crying on a Sunday morning because I can’t– I can’t get over someone who doesn’t even like me the way I like him.”
Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin as he cried onto his roommate’s shoulders. “We’re here, Jiminie. Don’t worry. The list was a stupid suggestion anyway, didn’t the person who suggested it ever watched that one Friends episode? The One With the List?”
“Which episode was that again?” Jeongguk asked as he rubbed Jimin’s shoulder.
“..The One With the List, Kookie, how can you not know what I’m talking about here?” Taehyung smiled as he felt Jimin giggle a little against his chest.
Jeongguk rolled his eyes. He crossed his arms over his chest. “I don’t memorize all the titles. Do you know The One Where the Stripper Cries?”
Taehyung scoffed. “Duh? Danny DeVito? I’m offended you think I’d forget an episode.”
Jimin chuckled as he sat back up again. “Thank you, guys.” He sniffed.
Taehyung stood up from the couch. “I’ll get you some tissue. I’ll also get you some apple juice, brb,” Taehyung said then ran towards the kitchen.
“Did he just say ‘brb’?” Jeongguk asked. Jimin nodded as he sniffed. The younger sighed. “I’m sorry we made you think negatively about Yoongi-hyung.”
Jimin smiled. “It’s fine, Kookie, it’s not your fault.” He scooted closer towards Jeongguk and gave him a hug because Jeongguk is probably a Yoongi in the making and never initiates hugs even if they’re dying to give one.
Jeongguk chuckled as he hugged back. “Oh, and hyung?”
“Mhm?”
“Don’t call me Kookie.” Jimin pulled away from the hug as the younger laughed.
Jimin rolled his eyes but there was a smile on his face. “God damn it, Jeon Jeongguk.”
-
“What’s next on the list?” Taehyung asked as he mindlessly changed the channels on the TV.
The 3 of them hung out until after lunch to make Jimin feel better and make him forget about Yoongi, even for just a little while. Jimin lasted 5 minutes until he started thinking about Yoongi again, though he didn’t say anything to his friends; they’ve been trying so hard all day to make him forget.
But now Taehyung started talking about it again and truthfully, Jimin was glad. He was about to lose his mind thinking on his own.
He adjusted the blanket draped over the two of them before answering. “Focus on developing relationships with available people,” he recited the exact same thing on the list. He’s stared at it enough times to memorize it.
Taehyung lowered the remote then looked at Jimin from the other side of the couch. “So basically date other people?”
Jimin shrugged. “I think it means associate myself with other people and– yeah I think that’s what it meant.”
Taehyung nodded then returned to switching through channels. “Do you want to? I know some people.”
Jimin chuckled. He started playing with a lose thread from the blanket. “I don’t know, I still think it’s unfair to date someone just to get over someone else.”
“Yeah.” Taehyung agreed.
They stayed quiet for a while, just the quick changing voices and sound effects from the changing of channels filling the room, until Taehyung sprung up from his comfortable place on the couch.
“I know someone!” Taehyung exclaimed.
Jimin reluctantly sat up. It took him a few tries to achieve a comfortable position but now he has to sit up because his roommate was bouncing on the couch due to excitement.
“He’s going through the same thing,” Taehyung sat back down. “He’s trying to get over someone but he also feels weird dating other people just to get over that someone. You guys can just hang out and just try, you know!”
“Really?” Jimin asked.
“I’ll set you guys up! Just give me a ‘yes’!”
“Okay, yes,” Jimin shrugged, “what harm can it do?”
Taehyung excitedly grabbed his phone to text whoever it was he was planning to set Jimin up with.
Jimin laid back down on the couch. Damn it, Yoongi. You make it easy to like you, but you make it hard to get over you.
---
「IV: Focus on developing relationships with available people.」
---
Jimin was on his way back to the apartment on his own – Taehyung still had a class – when he felt consecutive vibrates from his phone on his pocket, his friends were probably talking on their group chat. He waited until he arrived at his apartment building and had gotten on the elevator before checking his phone.
-
[JIN’S KIDS + NAMJOON]
jinnie: I just went to this /amazing/ restaurant with joonie and we totally need to go back asap
jinnie: tomorrow, preferably
hoseokie: you say that every time you go home from a date with your bf
joonie: their food were really good though
hoseokie: you always say that to get on your bf’s good side
joonie: and there was this really cute waiter there
hoseokie: my bisexual ass will be there, tell us the deets
taehyungie: “they have amazing food”
taehyungie: hoseok-hyung: ....
taehyungie: “there’s this cute boy too”
taehyungie: hoseok-hyung: sign me tf up
hoseokie: pretty much
-
Jimin laughed. He stopped reading and exited the elevator once it stopped at their floor. He unlocked the door to his and Taehyung’s apartment and flopped down on the couch. He groaned. He had such a tiring day, his Wednesday schedule always leaves him extra tired.
Jimin unlocked his phone again to continue reading the chaos that is his group chat with his friends.
-
jeonggukie: where’s this resto, hyung?
jinnie: before that
jinnie: joonie, really cute waiter, huh?
yoongi-ie: boi you done fucked up
joonie: ....
joonie: can i sleep at yours tonight, yoongi hyung?
yoongi-ie: you’re in the doghouse, do you think our apartment is the doghouse?
jinnie: oh so you’re not denying it?
joonie: of course i was just joking!!
joonie: you are the most beautiful human i’ve ever laid my eyes on, love
jinnie: i know, i was just teasing
jeonggukie: wow
hoseokie: i know
taehyungie: so whipped
-
Jimin chuckled. God his friends are weird.
-
jinnie: anyway, it’s only a few blocks away from campus
jinnie: let’s have dinner there tomorrow night!!
hoseokie: i already confirmed that my ass would be there
joonie: can you not talk about your ass
jeonggukie: sighh
jeonggukie: it’s going to us take 30 more mins to actually set a time huh
yoongi-ie: obviously
-
Jimin was about to text that he’s free whenever when he remembered he already had plans. He kind of feels bad to pass on this one but his plan tomorrow has already been set.
-
jiminie: sorry jin hyung, i got to pass this one
taehyungie: oh yeah!! Jiminie has a date hehehehe
jinnie: really?? Oh it’s fine, jiminie
jeonggukie: who’s the unlucky guy
jiminie: i was born in busan first!!!
jeonggukie: what the fuck does that got to do with anything
hoseokie: who’s lucky enough to get a date with our jiminie
hoseokie: also, who the fuck goes on a date on a Thursday??
jiminie: it’s one of tae’s friends
jiminie: he kinda set us up, tomorrow’s the only time we’re both free
jiminie: either tomorrow or fri and i wouldn’t want to miss movie night Friday
jinnie: you know your priorities, jiminie
joonie: nice, have fun kid
joonie: at least you get to escape tomorrow, it’s probably going to be just hoseok hitting on the waiter
hoseokie: damn straight
hoseokie: i mean, not straight, i’m not straight
jeonggukie: yeah, we know
jinnie: you can’t seem to stop talking about the waiter huh kim namjoon
joonie: oh my god
yoongi-ie: still not welcome to out apartment
hoseokie: i still laugh at yoongi hyung’s nickname here
hoseokie: how do you even say it
-
Jimin locked his phone and sighed as he remembered the date Taehyung set up for him last Sunday. He felt his phone vibrate again, probably a remark from Yoongi about Hoseok’s comment on his nickname.
He unlocked his phone. Well, it was from Yoongi but it wasn’t on the group chat.
-
min.yoongi: i didn’t know you were dating again
-
Jimin took a deep breath as he typed out a reply.
-
park.jimin: yeah, it was kind of sudden, tae just told me he had someone he’d like me to meet
min.yoongi: oh
min.yoongi: okay, have fun tomorrow
min.yoongi: tell me if he treats you badly, i’ll punch him
-
Jimin giggled. God, this is why he likes Yoongi.
-
park.jimin: tae showed me a photo, he’s really tall and has broad shoulders
park.jimin: he could probably step on you
min.yoongi: rude
min.yoongi: i’ll have kookie punch him then
park.jimin: tae and kook aren’t here but i bet their souls are saying “not kookie” at the same time right now
min.yoongi: true
min.yoongi: seriously though, i’d punch anyone who makes you feel bad okay? Just tell me
park.jimin: yes, i’ll make sure to tell you so you can order kook to beat someone up for you
min.yoongi: brat
min.yoongi: i got to go, prof’s staring at me through her encyclopedia thick glasses
park.jimin: prof oh?
min.yoongi: yeah
park.jimin: try not to die
min.yoongi: i’ll try
-
Jimin locked his phone and laid down on the couch, a nap sounded good. He sighed as he covered his eyes with his arms and drifted off to sleep, thinking about how it would’ve been if he was going on a date with Yoongi instead.
-
“Did you really?” Chanyeol laughed from the other side of the booth. Jimin was glad that the guy Taehyung had him meet wasn’t a jerk.
They ditched the fancy restaurant after a long time of being ignored by the servers – Jimin marked the place as ‘somewhere i’d never tell Jin-hyung to go to’ – and went to a nearby pizza place instead.
Normally, he wouldn’t take a booth if there were only two of them occupying it, but the pizzeria was kind of having a slow night. It was probably because there was a Pizza Hut a few streets down.
Jimin nodded after taking a sip from his iced tea. “I was so desperate I asked the internet for help and actually followed it, hence the date.”
Chanyeol placed a hand on his chest. “So you’re telling me this date is a result of a wikiHow article?”
“Hate to break it to you, but yeah.” Jimin shrugged and watched as Chanyeol acted like someone shot him. Jimin chuckled, “How about you? How have you been dealing with this unrequited feelings thing?”
“Netflix. Huge tub of cotton candy flavoured ice cream. Songs with sad lyrics I could scream at the top of my lungs at 2am.” Chanyeol had 3 fingers up as he listed. “Hmm, what other emo stuff do I do?”
Jimin chuckled. “So you’re not trying to get over him at all?”
Chanyeol shook his head. “I don’t think I can, really.” He sighed as he took a bite from his pizza. “Besides, I think there’s a huge part of me that doesn’t want to get over him. If I try to, it might just end up being a battle against myself.”
Jimin sighed, he’s not sure but it seems like it really has been a fight against himself, trying to get over Yoongi.
He just wants everything to stay the same and not ruin his friendship with Yoongi. Why is the universe so against him that he can’t succeed getting over him if it’s just for the sake of protecting the precious relationship he has with Yoongi now?
-
The date went well. Chanyeol was a nice guy and Jimin probably would’ve really gone out with him if both of them weren’t dreaming of dating other people.
Jimin was a few steps away from his apartment building when he saw someone with mint hair playing with their phone and waiting at the entrance. He groaned as he stared at the nightsky. What did I do to suffer this much?
“Hey, dwarf, how was the date?” Yoongi greeted once he saw Jimin approach him then pocketed his phone.
Jimin rolled his eyes. “You’re a centimetre taller than I am, hyung, is that really something to be proud of?”
“Yep,” Yoongi teased making Jimin lightly hit his arms. “Seriously though, how was the date?”
“It was actually really great.” Jimin shrugged. It was true.
“Oh, I was going to treat you some ice cream if it ended up being a disaster but seeing that it wasn’t..” Yoongi shrugged then started walking away from Jimin but the younger managed to stop him – it was a pretty easy task since it’s easy to catch someone like Yoongi who didn’t like running, or walking, or even standing.
Jimin wrapped his arms around Yoongi’s then led him towards the opposite the direction, towards the diner that serves Jimin’s favourite ice cream. “In that case, it was horrible. -2 out of 10.”
Yoongi chuckled, letting Jimin lead the way.
So that was how he ended up in a diner, eating ice cream at 10 in the evening with the guy he likes.
“Okay, how about this, High School Musical 2 or High School Musical 3?” Yoongi took a sip from his iced coffee after giving the choices. Jimin tried to make Yoongi get a chocolate sundae while he got a strawberry one but Yoongi and sweets really can’t be a thing.
Jimin told Yoongi he didn’t want to talk about the date, not telling him that the reason was he has got nothing to say about it except for “yeah I went on date with someone to try and get over you but guess what? It failed because now we’re here and I still want to kiss you” and that’s not a conversation he wanted to have.
Yoongi just nodded with no more further questions asked. He knew Jimin would talk if he wanted to talk, he’s not going to push Jimin to do something he doesn’t want to. And damn it why is Yoongi making it hard to not like him? It would’ve been easier to get over him if he was a jerk.
“Are you kidding me?” Jimin pointed his spoon towards Yoongi, making the latter laugh a little. “I could still live even if Troy’s ‘Scream’ didn’t exist but watch me passionately singing Gotta Go My Own Way on my deathbed as my final goodbye.”
“Damn.”
“Facts,” Jimin shrugged. He glanced outside the window and sighed. “I didn’t know I could see an amazing view of the moon from here. Look at how beautiful it is tonight!” Jimin looked at Yoongi but the older was already staring at him with a smile on his face, making Jimin look down on his sundae in hopes of hiding a blush that’s probably already creeping on his cheeks.
“You’re literally a moonchild,” Yoongi said. “I wish you admired yourself the way you admired the moon. Come to think of it, you’re like the moon.”
Jimin slowly looked up at Yoongi. “Explain.”
“I mean you both shine so bright without blinding those who are looking at you, like a humble glow to provide light to those who are in the dark.” Yoongi shrugged then looked at the moon outside. “If someone looks at the moon, and you, it’s kind of hard to look away.”
Jimin felt like someone was squeezing his heart as Yoongi looked at him, his eyes full of seriousness. “You’re a wonderful person, Jimin. You deserve to love yourself the way you love the moon and everything around you.”
It was sudden.
It was like someone punched him in the face with the realization.
All of the times he’s been with him, how could he not realize?
Jimin was thankful when Yoongi excused himself to go to the bathroom, he didn’t want him to see him having an internal mental breakdown.
He felt his chest tightening as the thought entered his brain. He felt like the air was being taken away from his lungs as he took a deep breath to calm himself down, it even hurt a little to inhale and exhale.
What the fuck? What the actual fuck?
Who knew it would be this painful to realize he’s in love with Yoongi?
---
「V: Remind yourself that you deserve to love someone who loves you back.」
---
Jimin groaned as he locked his phone and slammed it on the table, wincing at the sound it made and the possibility he might’ve cracked the screen but still not daring to touch it again.
Taehyung and Jeongguk looked at him from in front of the TV. It was Saturday morning and Jeongguk came over again for Taehyung’s Xbox.
Jimin’s roommate rolled his eyes and returned his attention back to the game with Jeongguk following suit.
“Was that Yoongi-hyung again? You’ve been avoiding him for 2 weeks,” Taehyung commented. Jimin just groaned as a reply. “I honestly thought you’d cave in after 3 days.”
“I thought he’d cave in after 24 hours,” Jeongguk teased making Taehyung laugh and Jimin throw a pillow at his back.
Jimin gave up on the list the night he got home from the diner and realized his feelings.
Remind yourself that you deserve to love someone who loves you back?
Yeah, like that’s going to work. Yoongi reminds him that almost every single day because that’s how much of a good person and friend he is to Jimin, which is what made Jimin fall in love with him in the first place. They were even talking about it when he realized he’s in love with the guy.
He resorted to the old-fashioned ‘ignoring the one you love in hopes you’d get over it’ way and it’s only making him lose his mind more than ever.
Yoongi has been trying to hang out with him for the last 2 weeks but surprisingly, Jimin has been good at avoiding him – except for when all 7 of them are hanging out, he can’t miss Movie Night Friday just because of that, Seokjin would disown him.
Jimin’s phone buzzed again. He hesitantly grabbed it from the coffee table. He’s sure it’s from Yoongi again but he just can’t help himself.
-
min.yoongi: i’m tired of this
-
Jimin groaned for the millionth time today and slammed his phone back on the table. Once he heard another buzz, he almost lost it.
“Calm down, god, that’s my phone,” Jeongguk said, reaching for his phone inside his pocket. He stared at his phone for a few minutes before standing up and grabbing Taehyung’s hand. “Hyung can you come with me?”
“Huh, where?” Taehyung asked as he paused the game and left his controller on the table.
Jimin looked at the both of them. “Where are you going?”
“Uh, the supermarket.” Jeongguk dragged Taehyung towards the door and even helps him put on his shoes since he was taking too long.
Jimin stood up then walked over to where his friends were. “I wanna go too.”
“No!” Jeongguk immediately shouted, making Jimin stop in his tracks. Jeongguk opened the door and dragged Taehyung outside. “It’s for your birthday! It’s a surprise!”
“But my birthday was,“ Jimin watched the door close, “last month.”
Jimin sighed. He walked over to the front of the TV and decided to play on his own, he always lost when he’s playing against Taehyung and Jeongguk.
After a few minutes of being proud that he’s at least in second place, his phone buzzed again. He absentmindedly grabbed it from the table while still trying to maintain his speed, they can say whatever they want about Toad but he’s definitely going to win this one.
After another minute, he finally checked his phone once the race ended – he finished 3rd place. He frowned at his phone once he read the messages.
-
min.yoongi: i’m outside of your apartment
min.yoongi: let me in
min.yoongi: please
-
Jimin cursed to himself. Why must Yoongi make it so hard for him? He walked over to the door and looked at the peephole. Outside stood the man that he’s been trying hard to avoid for the past two weeks.
He sighed and readied himself to talk to Yoongi after days of refusing to look him in the eyes.
“Hey,” Jimin greeted quietly but Yoongi just pushed inside.
“I’m sorry,” Yoongi said. Jimin closed the door then turned around to see Yoongi staring at the ground.
Jimin looked at him and felt his heart being squeezed again. “F-for what?”
“I don’t know.” Yoongi tore his gaze away from the ground then looked at Jimin. “I know you’ve been avoiding me, I must’ve done something wrong to make you mad enough to avoid me. I’m sorry for whatever it is.”
Jimin already felt tears welling up in his eyes. He turned away and walked towards the couch, he can’t let Yoongi see him like this, not when he’s the reason why. “Don’t apologize.”
Yoongi walked over to the couch then sat on the opposite side of Jimin’s seat, far away as possible. Jimin winced. So much for hoping things will never change between them. “Did I say something wrong? Did I offend you in any way?”
“No,” Jimin quietly answered, not looking at Yoongi.
“Then did I overstep my boundaries? Did I push you too much to do anything you’re uncomfortable with that I wasn’t aware of?” Jimin felt Yoongi turn to his side to face him.
“No,” Jimin said again, softer than before.
“Then what? I’ve been racking my head for days. I even asked Tae and Kook if they knew anything about it but they said they didn’t. I’ve been trying to catch you alone but you’re always with the two of them. I don’t even see you anymore, unless when it’s all of us hanging out together, I’m not even sure if you know I’m with you then!”
Jimin kept quiet as Yoongi’s voice started getting louder. He knows Yoongi is frustrated and he knows it’s best to let Yoongi vent out and not interrupt him.
“We go to the same school and we hang out with the same people yet you still managed to successfully avoid me for 14 fucking days, I must’ve done something so bad that it led you to ignore me!” Yoongi moved closer. He grabbed Jimin’s shoulders to make the younger look at him. His expression turned soft. “Please, just please tell me what I did. I can’t stand knowing that you’re in pain, especially when it’s caused by me.”
Jimin lost it. He felt tears strolling down his cheek and he doesn’t care anymore.
“Jimin, I-“
“It’s because I like you!” Jimin shook Yoongi’s hands away from his shoulder then stood up. “It’s because I might even be in love with you!”
Yoongi just stared at him and he took it as his chance to say everything he’s been keeping to himself.
“It hurts even to just look at you! You’ve always told me to put myself first and to protect myself. This is me protecting myself. Realizing I like you was painful enough but realizing that I’m in love with you almost killed me.” Jimin tried to wipe some of his tears away but they just kept coming.
Jimin sighed to calm himself down a little. “I’d love to be able to kiss your or hold your hand but I’m not willing to risk what we have now just to be able to do that. You’re my best friend, Yoongi. You’re one of the few people I never want to leave my life. I can’t afford to lose you so sorry for protecting myself.”
Jimin turned his attention away from Yoongi and to the ground instead. It was silent for a few minutes until Yoongi spoke up.
“That’s a little selfish, don’t you think?” Jimin looked at Yoongi but the older wasn’t looking at him. Still, Jimin could see Yoongi’s tear stained cheek and it made him hate himself for making Yoongi cry. “I’m all for protecting yourself, heck, I’d protect you in a heartbeat. But,” Yoongi finally looked at Jimin, “the way you were protecting yourself was hurting me.”
Jimin’s breath hitched when he heard Yoongi's voice crack a little. He tried to move closer but Yoongi held his hand in front of him as he tried to fight back his sobs to speak again.
“You could’ve just told me. I know you were scared but you could’ve told me,” Yoongi said between choking back his tears. “You know me, I wouldn’t have done anything to hurt you. Whether I feel the same way or didn’t, I wouldn’t have done anything to cause you pain.”
“But doing that would’ve change things between us and I can’t let that happen!” Jimin shouted as he took a step towards Yoongi. He doesn’t even know why he’s yelling. He’s too overwhelmed with emotions now and can’t even sort his feelings out. “I couldn-“
“Did you think avoiding me wouldn’t change things between us?!” Yoongi shouted back. Jimin staggered back, Yoongi was right.
“I- I didn’t think,” Jimin timidly said after a few minutes. He covered his face with his hands as he tried to fight back his own sobs, “I didn’t think. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
Yoongi stood up from the couch then immediately wrapped his arms around Jimin. Jimin rested his head against Yoongi’s shoulder as he soaked his shirt with tears. “You idiot. You could’ve just told me so I could tell you I’m in love with you too.”
Jimin pushed Yoongi’s chest to look at him. “What?”
Yoongi smiled weakly. He finally stopped crying but his cheeks were still wet with tears. “I’m in love with you too, brat. Probably longer than you’ve been in love with me. Sorry I didn’t speak up about it too and letting you worry on your own, I’m at fault here as much as you are.”
Jimin felt tears fall from his eyes again but this time he was smiling. “Is that a challenge?”
Yoongi chuckled a little then led them to the couch. He wrapped his arms around Jimin again as the younger rested his head against his shoulder.
“We’re a mess,” Yoongi jokingly said.
Jimin nodded in agreement. “Yes we are.”
“But at least we have each other.”
Jimin finally smiled genuinely for the first time in a while as he wrapped his arms around Yoongi. “But at least we have each other.”

「UNDISCLOSED STEP VI: Communication is key.」
---
“I hate him,” Jimin groaned as he sat back on the couch. He turned to his right to look at Yoongi. “I hate you.”
Yoongi just rolled his eyes as he chuckled then slung an arm around his boyfriend’s shoulders.
Seokjin sat down next to them on couch then threw a piece of popcorn towards his boyfriend who was sitting right in front of the TV. “It’s been almost 20 minutes, nobody’s watching the movie besides you. Boo!”
They were currently at Seokjin and Namjoon’s place, it was Friday. Namjoon just shushed his boyfriend without even looking behind.
“Hey, Jimin, can you ask the internet ‘how to not watch Namjoon’s boring movie’?” Hoseok teased from the single seat couch. Taehyung and Jeongguk snickered from their place on the floor.
“It’s a documentary!” Namjoon shouted in defense but no one paid attention to him.
Jimin rolled his eyes then lightly smacked his boyfriend’s arms. “I still can’t believe you told them how pathetically stupid I was!”
“I still can’t believe you resorted to the internet instead of talking to me,” Yoongi said as he took a sip from his can of soda. “Besides, Tae and Kookie-“
“Not Kookie,” Taehyung and Jeongguk answered at the same time, again, making everyone around them groan in unison.
“Anyway,” Yoongi continued, deciding to not say anything about the youngest kids, “they already knew so I just had to share the news to everyone else.”
“Joonie, Yoongi and Jimin fighting is more interesting than what we’re watching, can we please watch another movie?” Seokjin sweetly asked, making the rest of them cringe at his tone.
“This documentary is important! This could change the way we look at life and-“ Namjoon was explaining but Taehyung, Jeongguk and Hoseok interrupted him with a snore. Namjoon groaned. “Fine!”
“Let’s watch Lion King!” Taehyung excitingly suggested and no one disagreed because, hey, it’s Lion King.
Seokjin passed the bowl of popcorn to Jimin then walked over to the front to put the movie on but not before he kissed the top of Namjoon’s head.
“I was scared! I always talked to you about things but that was the one time I didn’t know how to talk to you at all.” Jimin scooped a handful of popcorn from the bowl then shoved it into his mouth, seemingly still upset over Yoongi revealing what he did.
Yoongi chuckeld a little. “Still, talking to me would’ve been the best thing to do instead of running around and doing all those stuff. Even if I didn’t feel the way, at least I could’ve given you closure then that’s the time you start the process of moving on.”
“Shh, it’s starting,” Seokjin warned the both of them as he sat down back to his seat and grabbed his bowl of popcorn back. Namjoon moved away from his front row seat and moved to the couch. He sat on the floor then rested his head against Seokjin’s thigh.
Jimin lowered his voice. He still got things to say but he also respects everyone’s desire to intently watch Mufasa. “Why are you lecturing me about getting over you? Do you want me to?”
Yoongi smiled then whispered back, “No. Please don’t. I’m a lonely rock who doesn’t even know how he got lucky enough to make someone like you love him.”
Jimin scoffed but he was fighting back a smile. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“We can hear you whispering!” Hoseok complained.
“Oops.” Yoongi shrugged then looked at Jimin again. “I’m luckier.”
“Stop being cheesy, I didn’t know you were this cheesy.”
“What? You going to break up with me because I’m cheesy?”
“No. How about because you’re a dork?”
“SHUT UP THE TWO OF YOU! WE’RE WATCHING A MOVIE!”
“I hate you, Park Jimin.”
“No you don’t.”
“Yeah, no I don’t.”
Jimin couldn’t be any happier.
