Chapter Text
Seokjin never thought he’d end up like this. Falling for someone he has no chance with. For someone who is way out of his league, though the person he fell for thinks otherwise. He never thought he would fall for his online best friend. He just so happened to interrupt his best friend’s Skype call by walking into the studio.
The second he heard her giggle at his best friend’s guilty rambling, he knew he was screwed. He couldn’t miss the opportunity to talk to her, so he joined in. Of course, his best friend didn’t mind, he was planning to introduce them to each other anyways.
But he knows things won’t change. He knows they won’t be any more than friends. He knows that the feelings he feels won’t be returned. The butterflies he feels fluttering in his stomach every time he hears her voice or the way his heartbeat speeds up when he sees her beautiful face on his laptop or phone screen.
His feelings don’t go unnoticed by his best friends. They notice how happy their oldest member is, how he just acts and looks happier in general. His group members tease him often, but it’s expected. As long as she doesn’t know how he feels about her, that’s all that matters.
His mind is always drifting to her throughout the day and even before he shuts his eyes to go to sleep. It’s always her, her, her. At least he gets to be her friend and maybe that’s not such a bad thing.
