Work Text:

The sun draped lazily over the room, filling it with its glowing warmth. The world was quiet, time seemed to slowly move along as the sun slowly began to come back to life from its slumber. Avdol had his arm draped around your body, pulling you close against him. His face buried in the crook of your neck, his chest slowly rose and fell as he slept peacefully.
You gently wormed your way out of his embrace, and turned your body to face him. Avdol's hair was let down, some of his dark hair fell over his face. You smiled sleepily and pushed it out of his face. Avdol stirred, and sighed heavily. Eyes slowly opening, he blinked them a few times and smiled once he saw you in front of him.

You leaned forward and kissed him, lingering for a moment before leaning back.

"Morning." You murmured. Finding his hand, you intertwined your fingers with his and stared into his rich eyes that were filled with fire and passion. You couldn't stop smiling, the man you loved was right in front of you. Despite everything you both had been through, he was here. He's with you, now and forever.

"Good morning" He whispered back to you, placing his free hand on your face, gently rubbing your cheek with his thumb. "Sleep well?"

"Always, with you beside me." You replied, leaning your head into his touch.

Avdol smiled, and pulled your head towards him, placing a kiss onto your soft lips. Breaking the kiss, you moved to where you were sitting on top of him, your hands trailing up his muscular chest, eventually wrapping themselves around his torso. You rested your head on his chest, you could hear his heart beat in slow, steady rhythms. His arms clung possessively around your waist.
Birds started to awaken from their own slumber, singing their hearts out, for the next day has come. The town was also slowly starting to come to life. Things were peaceful, now that DIO was gone for good.

You breathed in Avdol's scent, he smelled of fire and cologne. A smell all too familiar, something you would imprint on your own body if you could. Being with him was being home, being in his arms, his smell, you felt like you belonged there. His body radiated a natural warmth. Good for snuggling close during the cold winters, albeit it was a bit smothering when it was summer.

Avdol hummed slightly, the deep rumbles within his chest was like music to your ears. He moved one hand and gently stroked your hair, his fingers untangling the knots that had formed while you slept. You recognized the tune as one of the Egyptian songs Avdol taught you, a personal favorite of his that his mother had sung to him to lull him to sleep on restless nights.

"Do you want some breakfast?" You asked, moving your head to look at him.

He stopped petting you, and nodded. "Of course." Avdol planted a kiss to your forehead.

Reluctantly, you lazily moved off of your husband and out of the bed, shuffling to the kitchen. You grabbed a pan, a bowl, fork and some eggs and began to cook breakfast. Throwing in some spices here and there, they were about a little less than halfway done.

Avdol had finally gotten out of bed, and walked into the kitchen. You didn't have to turn around to know it was him. He leaned into you, trailing kisses down your neck, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close.

"You're so beautiful.." he murmured. "I'm lucky to have you." Avdol glanced at the golden ring on your finger and smiled. You were his, and his alone.

"I love you too, but it's hard to cook with you draped over me like this." You laughed, turning your head to smooch him.

Avdol let go, and sat down at the table, watching you cook. The morning sun made your body to appear glow in its presence. You were absolutely stunning, he couldn't tear his eyes from you. Eyes wandering down every inch of your body, he sighed in contentment. He truly was a lucky man. Turning around, you plopped the scrambled eggs onto the two plates, and retrieved some orange juice from the fridge.

"This looks delicious, thank you, habibata."

Breakfast was short and quick, you both chatted about various things to do, gossip among the townspeople. Eventually, breakfast ended, you both placed your dishes in the sink and instantly headed back to the bed.
Avdol leaned against the headboard, and you crawled into the space between his legs, leaning into his body. He tenderly grabbed your hand, tracing out the creases in your palm. His finger ghosted the first one on your left hand, you instinctively pulled your hand away- it tickled.

"It's alright, I'm reading your palms." He whispered into your ear, letting out a low chuckle. You relaxed more, and let him handle your hands.

He continued to trace out the creases in your palm, and for a moment, he was silent. Avdol was no longer muttering things to himself. You could feel him smile, and you turned to look at him.

"What is it?"

"Your first crease, the heart line." Avdol began. "You're content with your love life. For that, I am happy." He kissed the back of your hand, and continued on in his explanation.
"This one-" he ran his fingers across the middle crease. "The head line tells me that you're adventurous, and you have an enthusiasm for life. Anyone could tell that, though." He laughed.

You playfully hit his leg, it was all in good heart. Avdol kissed your shoulder.

"Your life line shows vitality. You're always bustling with life, though. That is one of the many reasons I love you." Avdol kissed your cheek. "Now, your fate line..." He whispered, and studied your hand more. He was silent for awhile, before saying, "It tells me that you're supported by family and friends, you will always have my support, habibata."

You looked back at him. Avdol kissed your lips, you melted into it. He knew how to turn you into putty in his embrace, and he did it fairly often. Breaking the kiss, you both shifted to where you were spooning once more. He moved his leg on top of yours, and put his hands around you.

No matter what, Mohammad Avdol would always be there for you. You knew that for a fact, that he'd always be there to protect you. The both of you spent the rest of the day in bed, whispering sweet words to each other and planting gentle kisses to others bodies.
