Work Text:
Even before Bakugo found his way into the folds, the fact that there were three members of the class all dating each other, not seeming to have any problems, made others start to question their relationships. Those who were once unsure about their attraction to multiple people began to wonder if something like that could work for anyone, and once Bakugo officially- or, as officially as he could, considering he continues to deny it to this day- became a part of things, it really inspired three particular people to get a move on. If someone like that could make it work, then why couldn’t they?
Kirishima is the first one to ask, “Man, what took us so long, anyway? I feel like we should have started dating ages ago.”
“Speak for yourself,” Jiro replies. “It’s a big step when it’s more than one person, and I was a little reluctant, stepping up to babysit two idiots.”
“Hey, who are you calling idiots?” protests Kaminari. “Besides, I was pretty sure you had something going on with Yayorozu, so I didn’t know what you were going to end up doing.”
“Funny, I always thought there was something between you and Ashido,” she replies. “That was also part of why I was reluctant.”
“Come to think of it, I totally see that now,” Kirishima says. “I did kind of think you might go for them, but I decided to just go for it anyway.”
“Yeah, well, you’re basically married to that steel asshole, so it’s not like approaching you was that much easier,” Kaminari says.
“Huh? You mean Tetsutetsu? We aren’t...wait, are we?” Kirishima squints for a moment before laughing. “Yeah, I guess maybe there might be something between us. Well, what about you guys? Do you like Yaoyorozu and Ashido?”
“Ashido’s great. I mean, I’ve thought about it a lot, but then there was you guys, so i didn’t really know.”
“I feel like at this point, it should just be established that there’s always room for more. I think you should go for it! If you guys don’t mind me going for Tetsutestsu, I mean.”
“Slow down a second,” Jiro interrupts. “Are we recruiting people for our relationship now?”
“Only if you want to,” Kaminari replies. “If you’ve got a problem with it, we can back off, but I thought you might wanna go for Yaoyorozu, so…”
She visibly blushes, staring off somewhere to the side as she mutters, “You’re moving a little fast. I don’t even know Momo feels about all of this, so…”
“You can’t know unless you try!” says Kirishima. “I say we all do it!”
“Yeah, let’s go out and bring someone else in!” Kaminari adds.
And so, like it or not, Jiro gets roped into their antics.

For Denki, Ashido is easy. He’s on a sort of confidence high after talking things up with Kirishima and Jiro so much, and all he does is ask her outright if she wants to go out with him.
“You’re with Kirishima and Jiro now, right?” she asks.
“Is that a problem?”
“Not for me! If it’s a problem for them, maybe, but I’m fine with it,” she replies. “But, I mean, you’d have to be fine with it if I had my eye on someone else too.”
“Well, yeah, I think we’re doing things pretty fast and loose,” he says. “Why? Is there somebody?”
“ Kiiind of,” Ashido says. “I mean, it’s a little complicated right now but we’ll see what happens.”
“And are they gonna be okay with all of this?”
“I guess we’ll just have to find out!”
The two of them have always gotten along so well that talking through this isn’t complicated at all.

For Kyoka, Momo is a little bit of a challenge. She’s liked her for quite some time, but she’s never known exactly how to go about expressing that. While Kirishima and Kaminari were easy to deal with, Momo has always seemed unattainable, and to be pushed forward to finally admit her feelings has her very uncertain regarding what she should do.
“What did you want to talk about?” asks Momo, completely oblivious to the fact that Kyoka is surely about to make a complete fool of herself.
“I was just...well...we’re friends, aren't we?”
Momo’s face brightens, and she breaks into the most adorable smile. “Of course we are. You were probably one of the first friends I made here.” Her face falls a bit then. “Why? Did I make you think I was upset with you?”
Sometimes it's easy to forget how self-conscious Momo can get, despite her usual confident demeanor. “No, that’s not it at all,” Kyoka says quickly. “It’s just…” She takes a deep breath, still unsure of how to even put this. “How close are we?”
“Oh, I...do consider you to be one of my closest friends, but I...well, I wouldn’t know what to say about how you feel about me.” Is it just her imagination, or is Momo really blushing about all of this?
“Okay, uh...also, you know about how me and Kirishima and Kaminari are, right?”
“You’re all three dating, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, so, like...how do you feel about that? I mean, as a concept?” Could she sound any more stupid?
“I’m not...sure, I think it’s very nice, I think? If everyone agrees about something like that and can get along, then it seems like a really nice thing,” replies Momo.
Swallowing hard, Kyoka finally musters up the nerve to say, “Well, how would you feel about going out with me? Just me, for now, I don’t really know how you feel about the other two, or how they feel about you, but…” She trails off when she realizes that she’s rambling.
“Wh-what?” Momo’s eyes widen, and for a moment, Kyoka really is terrified that she’s managed to screw everything up. “I didn’t think that you’d return my feelings,” she says softly.
This time, it’s Kyoka’s turn for her eyes to widen, and to gasp and say, “Wh-what?”
“I didn’t know if it was right for me to feel that way about a friend or not, but for a while I’ve thought of you as a bit more than a friend,” she confesses, looking down. “I was a little sad when you started dating them, but I tried to be happy for you because I didn’t want to be selfish.”
“Wait, so you mean you actually...like me?” Even though she’s completely admitted it, Kyoka is still having a hard time believing it.
“I do. And I’d like to date you, if you really want to date me.”
In the end, Momo ends up an easier challenge than Kyoka expected.

For Eijiro, Tetsutetsu is something that he didn’t think about before, but now that he’s thinking about it, he sees just how obvious it is. The two of them became very fast friends not long after meeting, despite that many similarities sometimes being enough to put people off of each other. Being around Tetsutetsu has always been incredibly comfortably, and only now does Eijiro realize that he’s really, really into him.
Now all that’s left is to hope that their similarities don’t stop at what they’ve discovered so far, and that Tetsutetsu feels the same way.
“Hey, what’d you want to talk about?”
After running through a few different possible conversations beforehand, Eijiro suddenly finds that nothing feels right in the moment. He can't seriously just come out and say he likes him, right? Does Tetsutetsu even know about his relationship?
“The weirdest stuff keeps happening in my class,” he says. “Have you heard about any of that?”
“Isn't, like, everyone dating?” asks Tetsutetsu. “Are you in on that?”
“Not everyone ,” Eijiro says with a laugh. “But, you know, these four started going out, so then me and two of my friends thought it might be a good idea to try…”
“So you are kind of in on it?”
“Yeah, I guess I am. Well, what I'm trying to say is...they're both trying to ask other people out.”
“Behind your back?”
“No, no, we talked it out! We all realized we kind of have someone else we like, so we all decided to see how they felt about it.”
“Wait a second, man...are you asking me out?”
He should have known that Tetsutetsu would have him figured out that quickly. Grinning, he says, “I guess that all depends on what your answer would be.”
Tetsutetsu matches his grin and says, “You really have to ask?”
Eijiro is glad that he wasn't just imagining all of their chemistry, and that they have yet another thing in common.

Unbeknownst to each other, all three are successful. Soon, they'll have to talk about that, and not long after that, they'll have to begin working around having a six person relationship, but even that is just the beginning.
