Chapter Text
Jungkook smiled at the girls who swooned over him as he parked his motorcycle in front of a small cafe that was known for having many college students as customers, considering a college dormitory was built a few blocks away.
“Pretty Boys?” he asked. Jungkook was frozen, unable to process the question until the boy gestured at his leather jacket with his gang name plastered on the back. “Is that a gang you’re in or something?”
Jungkook snapped himself out of his trance, pulling the best smile he could muster unto his lips. “Yeah. It is. A motorcycle gang, actually.” he said, pointing to his motorcycle. “Don’t you think I am?” he asked the boy, who seemed his age and height.
He let out a quiet laugh which made Jungkook’s heart skip a beat. “What, a pretty boy?” The boy questioned as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. Jungkook’s gaze darted away for a moment, but he looked back at him and shrugged. “Sure. Whatever boosts your ego even more.” he finished and started to walk away.
Jungkook was quick to grab his wrist and pull him back. “Hey, I didn’t catch a name, baby boy.” he said with a mischievous smirk. “Did you think that I was gonna let you go without knowing?”
He stared at him for a moment before snickering and coming closer. “There wasn’t a name I intended for you to catch,” he replied and tugged his wrist away.
“Ooh! Feisty!“ Jungkook exclaimed as he failed his hands as if he touched something hot.
“Oh, please,” He said as he rolled his eyes. “But it’s Taehyung. And I assume you’re that delinquent that everyone talks about. Jeon Jungkook, right?”
Jungkook blinked and displayed a wide grin on his face. “Ah, so you’ve heard of me.” he sang. “I’m no delinquent, Taehyung. Just a really interesting and reckless kid that’s cooler than the other kids your age.”
Taehyung raised his eyebrows. “My age? How do you know my age?” he asked as he folded his arms across his chest.
“Oh, come on, baby. Don’t play like that. A cutie like you can’t possibly be older than me.” he responded as he leaned back onto the seat of his motorcycle. “Let me guess, 19?”
Taehyung grimaced. “21.” he corrected and began to walk away again. “It’s hyung to you!” he exclaimed. Taken aback and impressed, Jungkook chuckled to himself as he returned to tending to his bike.
--
“21-year-old Taehyung, wasn’t it?” Jungkook asked the same boy he met a few days ago when he met him in the library alone.
The blonde looked up from his notebook, where he was jotting down notes from a thick textbook in front of him. “Jeon Jungkook, almost 20, dance major, wasn’t it?” he replied as he returned his attention back down to his notes. “Now if you said your piece, please leave. That’d be great.”
“Woah, woah, okay! I get it! Someone thinks they’re way too good for me,” Jungkook replied as he slid his jacket off and placed it on the back of his chair. “If you weren’t into me you wouldn’t be able to find that much about me in such a short amount of time, granted that I met you, what, three days ago?”
Taehyung rolled his eyes. “Do you really think I have the time to swoon over you? Also, it’s not hard to find information on you. All I did was walk into the cafe and heard the dozens of conversations about you.” he said without looking up. “Sorry, but I’m trying to graduate college, so if you could grab your jacket and go I’d be the happiest man alive.”
“You’d be the happiest man alive with a ring matching mine on your finger.” Jungkook replied as he sat back in his chair with a big smile that adorned his face.
Taehyung frowned. “What are you talking about?” he asked. “I met you, yeah, three days ago. You don’t know anything about me, Jeon.”
“I’d like to.”
“Suck a dick.”
“As long as it’s yours.”
Taehyung rolled his eyes as he slammed his textbook shut and rose from his seat. “In your dreams, lover boy,” he responded as he reached for his notebook. However, before he could get it in his grasp, Jungkook snatched it from off the table and hugged it to his chest.
Jungkook crossed his legs. “Give it some time. You’ll find yourself falling for me in no time.” he said to him with a smirk.
“Me? Fall for you?” Taehyung laughed at him. “Sorry, did you mistake me for a foolish girl in your fanclub or something? I’m doing everything but fall for you at the moment, so if you excuse me,” Taehyung extended an arm to Jungkook. “my notebook, please?”
Jungkook let a breathy laugh escape his mouth as he ran a hand through his hair. “One day you’ll be on your knees begging me to be my boyfriend.”
Taehyung smiled at him. “And that day’s not anytime soon.” he coughed. “Sorry, I mean, it’s never coming. Anyways, why are you even after me? Aren’t you a bad boy?”
“What’s being a bad boy have to with anything?”
“So you like bad girls?”
Jungkook shook his head. “It doesn’t always work like that, baby.” he replied.
Taehyung took a deep breath. “Right, my mistake, so you like bad boys.” he said.
Jungkook nodded and shot him finger guns. “Now you’re talking, blondie.” he snorted. “And as far as I’m concerned, you, Taehyung, are a very bad boy.”
“Yeah, a bad boy with great grades. Everyone’s scared of me, aren’t they? Ooh! Taehyung! That bad boy! Can you believe he fell into the top 1.3% in Korea!? That’s the scariest thing ever, isn’t it!” Taehyung exclaimed as he pretended to fall back and stumble. “Oh, I can feel them all shaking with fear now.”
Jungkook laughed as he covered his mouth. “I like that side of you, Taehyung.” he said. “You’re funny,” he complimented.
“And you’re annoying, thanks for sharing.” Taehyung replied. “Now, notebook, please?” he asked as he reached his arm out once more.
Jungkook was about to hand it from him, but pulled it back a bit and smirked. “What’s your last name, honey?” he questioned.
“If you were that into me you would be able to find a sufficient amount of information about me granted that I met you, what, three days ago?” Taehyung replied as he snatched his notebook from his hand. “Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?”
Jungkook hummed. “It sure does, Taehyung.” he said as he sat back again.
“See you, Jeon,” he said as he turned to leave. Taehyung stopped in his tracks and turned to him. “And don’t get too cocky, kid. So what that you’re in a gang? Motorcycles don’t guarantee a diploma, pretty boy.”
Jungkook kept a laugh to himself as he watched the attractive blonde boy exit the library with his books in his hands. Everything about him seemed to intrigue him and Jungkook couldn’t wait to know more.
--
Jungkook loved the purring of his motorcycle as he drove past the tall buildings. The cafe was his next destination, where he was ordered by his boss, or gang leader, to get a drink for him. A caramel macchiato was what he wanted, which was the complete opposite of manly, but still pertaining to the ‘pretty’ part of their gang name. He dismounted his bike and made his way into the cafe, taking in the pleasant aroma of the small building. He heard a few girls squealing from behind him, but he decided to not mind it. It was already his turn in under a matter of minutes and he was more than happy to give his order to the very familiar employee.
“Hey, baby, what’re you doing here?”
“Can I take your order?”
“That’s not how you’re supposed to treat a customer, love bug.”
“Actually, that’s exactly how I’m supposed to treat a customer.”
“Well, sweet cheeks, it’d be great if you’d answer the question.”
“I’d be great if you would just tell me your order. You sound like a 70’s teenager who just found out what emo bands are.”
“You’re the one holding the line up by not answering.”
“What do you think I’m doing here? Milking cows?”
Jungkook laughed. “If that’s all I can get, I’ll take it.” he said. “Grande caramel macchiato, Taehyung. And make it snappy!”
Taehyung looked up and him and smirked. “Oh, I’ll take my time.” he replied. “Name?”
Jungkook smiled. “You know it very well.” he responded. “Just write the name of the love of your life and keep the change.” he said as he handed him enough money to pay for it all.
Taehyung chuckled as he scribbled something down onto the cup. “Alright, wait for it over there, Romeo.” he said as he pushed the receipt to his chest. Jungkook laughed as he walked an empty seat and waited for his drink to be delivered.
“Order 231!” An employee announced after a few minutes.
Jungkook glanced at his receipt to see if the number was right and walked to the counter to receive his drink. “If you could, can you ask the blonde over there to hand it to me? I need to ask him a question but his break doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.” he said, but it was all excuses. The man nodded and brought the drink to Taehyung. Taehyung looked at the man, who said he would cover him for a bit, and sent a glare back at Jungkook.
Taehyung grabbed the drink from his hands and stomped his way over to Jungkook. “What is it?” he asked him. “I’m kind of, I don’t know, working?”
“I just wanted my drink personally delivered,” Jungkook replied as he took it from his hands. “Thanks, baby.”
“I hope you enjoy that, kid,” Taehyung replied through gritted teeth and crossed his arms. Jungkook waved goodbye to him and left the cafe. He glanced down at the drink to see some writing on it. “Bitch” it read. Jungkook laughed to himself for a moment before remembering that this was supposed to be addressed to his boss, who would not be happy to see this on his drink. Jungkook took a deep breath.
Touche, Taehyung, he thought. Touche.
