Work Text:
It is 8am in the morning. The dim lighting from outside and the pitter patter of the raindrops on the windows kept Chibita's apartment in stillness. karamatsu and Chibita were still in bed, thick covers over their bodies as they stared at each other with hazy gazes.
"There's something truly beautiful about this weather." Karamatsu quietly cooed. His voice was tired, but nonetheless low and sweet.
Chibita rolled his eyes and scoffed. He hates his confident flirts and how cheesy they were. But in bittersweetness he enjoyed every moment of attention and care that Karamatsu gave to him.
"What's so nice about it?" He asked.
Karamatsu adjusted himself in bed and sighed huskily.
"How the tranquility of nature's bliss leaves us bed ridden, only for me to intimately reminisce everything that made me fall in love with you, my sweet."
Chibita smiled and looked up at the ceiling. Even though he couldn't understand English, it was easy enough for him to pick up the pieces to conclude that it was something nice about him.
"You always have something sweet to say to me, huh?"
Karamatsu raised his body with his elbows.
"I only speak of what's in my mind, love."
He scooted closer to Chibita, their bodies touching. Karamatsu places one elbow on Chibita's other side so he could lower his face dangerously close to his.
"You're just all I think about."
With the success of those words, Chibita rested his hands in Karamatsu's cheeks and let him lean closer for a kiss. Before it could be done, a sudden, mood-killing boom forced Karamatsu to jolt up and pronounce a small yelp.
Chibita looked at him flabbergasted.
"Woah, that was fucking scary," Chibita admitted, "are you ok?"
Karamatsu, now resting on his knees, quickly saved his flaw by straightening his back and resting his fingertips on his face. "Heh."
He continued, "The thrill of thunder is only a small weakness of mine." His hand forms into a victorious fist. "However, in a matter of time I will overcome it. No need to worry about me."
Chibita eyed him as he sat up. "Ok then, if you say so."
Karamatsu then sat beside Chibita to cradle his arms around him.
"Now, where was I?" He started.
"You were about to kiss me." Chibita reminded him.
Karamatsu' face lightened up.
"Ah yes! Of course!" He then hesitates as Chibita stares at him with anticipation. "But I can't kiss you now."
Chibita's brows furrowed in denial.
"What? Why?"
"The mood is no longer present. It wouldn't be right until my seduction has left you submissive."
"I don't care about that! Just kiss me!" Chibita said getting fired up.
"Patience, darling. Your kiss will come in due time." Karamatsu gently pinched Chibita's chin and winked.
"You idjit, you don't need to do all of this shit for me just for a stupid kiss..." Chibita murmured.
Karamatsu laughed at Chibita's response. The sound of its pureness melted Chibita's heart.
"Don't worry, I have a plan."
A plan.
You didn't need a plan, Chibita thought, you stupid, stupid, Matsuno boy. You didn't need a fucking plan.
"Don't move, I have a surprise for you." Karamatsu assured as he left for the kitchen.
---
As he sexily walked out of Chibita's sight and into the kitchen, he thought to himself.
shit, I don't know how to cook.
Quietly, but frantically, Karamatsu looked in the refrigerator and the pantries to see if there was anything simple enough for him to prepare. There was instant ramen, but that wasn't romantic at all.
That's fine! I'll figure out something charming along the way!
Reading the procedures very carefully, he meticulously measured the water for 100% accuracy and carefully poured it into a pot, making sure that no single drop of water was left un-boiled.
During this process, another thundering boom occurred and made Karamatsu squeak and jolt, making him spill some water around his cooking area.
"Oi, karaboy, are you ok?" Chibita called out.
"All is well, my lovely! Don't you worry about a thing!" Karamatsu assured.
He boiled the remainder of the water left inside the pot and grabbed a small rag to cleanup his mess. Once the water came to a boil, he quickly opened the ramen packet and plopped the dehydrated noodles and seasoning mix into the pot.
Cooking is intense. I admire Chibita for mastering such a feat.
His daydream of admiration were caught short when he realized that his concoction was boiling up to the point where bubbles were spilling out of the rim. He frantically pulled the pot out of the stove to taste test it. Too salty. He turned on the kitchen faucet to dilate the saltiness.
Oh no, too bland. And cold.
"Karamatsu! Turn off the stove!"
Karamatsu turned to his surprise to see Chibita out of bed.
And then, in the midst of all of the havoc, a very, very, VERY, loud boom of thunder occurred scaring them both. It frightened Karamatsu so much that it made him spill the dilated, cold ramen all over himself. The lightning caused an electrical surge, blacking out everything that was in the house, including the stove.
They both stared at each other stifling their breaths and trying to grasp what happened in that short amount of time. Karamatsu was in the floor, doused in ramen and Chibita as only 4 feet away from that man.
"Karamatsu," Chibita quietly squeaked.
"Chibita," Karamatsu whispered back.
"You made a mess on yourself." Chibita whispered, trying to return his body back into the current events.
Karamatsu you fool, Karamatsu thought to himself, you're losing him.
Karamatsu had one last resort in a desperate attempt to save his kiss. He rearranged his lounging body flirtatiously, giving Chibita his best bedroom eyes.
"Not a mess, but an opportunity." He said confidently with his voice low and seductive.
"What?"
"Chibita, my precious pearl, my pacemaker! Let my supple body be your plate! Let me satisfy your hunger both nutritiously and SENSUALLY!"
Karamatsu lifts his leg in a straight point.
"I am yours at this moment to explore and taste! Come to me Chibita, I know you want to..."
Well, Chibita was hungry. And the smell of the ramen was giving him a craving. Maybe he could--
No, Chibita restrained, no, no, no, that is disgusting, Chibita. Don't do that.
"Karamatsu, you need to clean yourself up."
Karamatsu lowered his leg in defeat.
I can't believe it. I failed. I have disappointed the only man that has truly loved me. Now, I will never seduce him in the way he loves. I'm a failure.
Somehow, Chibita felt Karamatsu's disappointment. Chibita started to feel remorseful towards him. Sure, he was incredibly excessive and ridiculous when it came to love, it it was all with the simplest and innocent reasons. Karamatsu wouldn't do anything to disappoint or hurt Chibita in any way.
Chibita kneeled next to Karamatsu and rested a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey Karaboy, why don't you get a clean shirt and we can cook some ramen together?"
Karamatsu meekly sniffed and looked at him.
"But the stove isn't working. How will we cook it?"
"I have a portable stove, it's gas powered."
Chibita comfortingly rubbed Karamatsu' back and continued.
"C'mon, don't be sad. To be honest, I did get kinda hungry, cuz uh... you smell kinda tasty."
Chibita chuckled nervously and Karamatsu cracked a small smile.
"So uh, change, ok?"
Karamatsu nodded willingly and slowly got up with Chibita.
"Heh. At least my attempt wasn't in vain."
Chibita playfully slaps his back and smiles.
"Of course not! Now go change!"
Karamatsu nodded approvingly and nearly skipped his way to the bedroom to change.
Chibita scooped and mopped up the mess in the kitchen so he and Karamatsu could start all over together. Chibita monitored Karamatsu closely and gave him advice every once and a while. There were a few times when Karamatsu was so proud of himself that he got distracted, but Chibita snapped him back in track. Once the ramen was finished, Karamatsu poured the hot broth into the fanciest bowl they had and took it to their low rise table for them to eat.
"Now, it wasn't that hard, was it?" Chibita teased.
Karamatsu chuckled, "I still think it was. When I did it without you, at least."
Chibita paused to look down at the bowl of ramen, lingering his chopsticks around in it. "So you've never cooked anything in your life? Nothing at all?"
Karamatsu sheepishy shrugged. "I've cooked of course, just not successfully."
Chibita flashed an eye of respect. "Well, consider this as a success story!"
Karamatsu smiled. It was nice seeing Chibita being proud at something that he did. It was a sign of recognition that made Karamatsu want to become a beeter person.
Chibita watched Karamatsu's face as he beamed a glow of determination. It was more than what Chibita could handle, and it caused Chibita to send his lips to Karamatsu's almost in an instant. Their lips lingered for a moment and parted slowly and softly with their eyes closed.
That was the kiss that Karamatsu wanted. It wasn't because of the sexy plan that he proposed, but at least it ended with something that they could agree on.
Chibita suppressed a laugh and he was still a few inches away from him.
"You still smell like ramen."
Karmatsu softly grinned, "It's not that bad, I hope."
Chibita nodded no and squeezed his hand. "I think it's just fine, you idjit."
